Videoguide for new players

I was browsing Youtube with the idea of finding a video for new players that ask me for help. I was very disappointed with the result.

Solution? Well, doing my own and I'm rather happy with the result; this gonna help future FC members quite a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq1naHCeiPk&t.

Since this is the first one in a very short mini-series, I thought I should ask for suggestions and feedback here -both positive and negative- in order to provide new players with even better help!

As a new player and someone who loves information, I can say I enjoyed this very much.
Most of it I found out one way or the other already, but nonetheless, this would have been great to see when i started.

I would certainly say; keep going, as I am sure that many people will appreciate material of this nature very much.

I thank you both very much for the feedback. English is not my first language so I tend to worry a lot about my pronunciation. Your comments really did reassure me on that regard.

When it come to other material of this nature, after I showed my video around a bit, many newer player immediately requested more about various topic. I'm already working on the next one and I am more than excited to be able to help others. I'm basically explaining what I wished I knew myself when starting. Deep enough for people to understand "why"... but not TOO deep so they get overwhelmed with information. I'm am very new to this, so finding the right balance showed to be much more challenging than I tough.

Thank you very much! I learned a lot about video editing while doing it and the feedback I received was just fantastic! I'm 100% confident the next one will be much better! And I was already fairly happy with how that first one turned out

I think it was informative for players that want to get into the game. I would have loved to see a bit more in depth information on specific topics, but I understand that this video would have been very long. But for the future I could see this being a series of episodes, not just for new players but veterans or returning players, with some more explanations, especially when it comes to some more complicated topics. example in depth class/job description/explanation, cross classes, materia melding, end game melds/skills/, BiS gear and why stats are more important than ilvl etc. I help a lot of new players everyday but I will defiantly share the link to your video, at least when it comes to the basics. After all it was a good video compared to other "new player guides" that are out there and have barely any information. Keep it up.

Thank you very much for the good words. Yes, I was planning to indeed give more details, but I tried to keep people attention span in mind (mine included) when creating the final product. That being said, as you have pointed out, it leaves a lot of open doors for more videos and it was, in fact, design that way: I'm working, already, on the next video that will be about job/class concepts, things expected of them, stats related to them and general strategies (I have a very good team of player ready to help me out on this one, providing professional insight to each job). It will be very informative, but I won't provide rotations since I often feel people would gain more to truly understand the "mindset" of their jobs first. There's plenty of guide for rotations, but not many really explain outside of them. (there will be, tough, links to resources explaining rotations)

This next video will be longer since I expect people to simply skip to the jobs that interest them.

I second the notion to not include rotations. Let players learn them on their own. I think set rotations in this game are for the uber hardcore speedrunners anyway.
