Am I the only one who is playing this game on macbook (or Mac)?

The dude just wanted to know if anyone else played the game on a Mac...? What am i missing? Its not like he posted all his uberspecs in his signature like so many people do.

It's the way the post title is worded. While he may or may not have had any intention of looking like he thinks he's special, the title can easily be construed as such. And many people put specs in their sigs so others know what hardware they have if they ask technical related questions.

I didn't interpret any particular way, but I can see how others would. It's pretty simple to do so. When all you have is words, no body language, subtle changes in the voice and the like, what you say can mean much more than you think. Then when people DO interpret differently, they're automatically bashed to some degree about it.
