Anonymoose: It makes perfect sense that they recently gave CONs 3 Raises and 2 Curagas so SE could prepare them to become BLMs. lol

As Yoshida recently said, they are going to be majorly changing how both classes operate and what skills each one will have. They could of given Conjurer 20 healing spells and that doesn't mean that's how it will remain after 1.20. I feel the biggest evidence is how both guilds relate with the rest of the franchise, and so far the evidence is almost solid that Conjurer will be BLM and Thaumaturge will be WHM, as proven in my last post.
According to lore: CNJ: BLM THM: WHM
According to skill sets CNJ: WHM THM: BLM
It does because they pretty much had those spells to begin with. I don't think that was intentionally implemented for the long haul though. At this point, there really is no telling which of these classes gets which job. Conjurer also has the elemental and the ancient magics too, so it may as well just become Black Mage.
See how confusing this is? Its better to wait for confirmation or just figure it out after classes get their identities.
I just used that as supporting evidence for CON=WHM lmao.
The fact is that it's a clusterf**k and can go either way depending on which skills they swap around (and if they swap abilities in particular). Visually speaking, in 2010, CON looked BLM and THM looked WHM - and then everything got all turned around and the CONs got all nature-hippy and the THMs started lying and cheating and killing people and carrying around weapons made out of dead sh!t, casting Damnation while the CONs were throwing Radiance.
I'm only stating what I think makes more sense at the moment. 1.18 swapped it completely around -- 1.20 could do it again.

That was my point several pages ago. D: And on the first page. D:I just used that as supporting evidence for CON=WHM lmao.

But at least I got the satisfaction of making you guys laugh. :3
Class = Flexible foundation
Job = Focused role/branch of base class
THM = Class dealing with Life and Death (or Light and Dark)
WHM = Job dealing with Life/Light
CON = Class dealing with the 6 elements
BLM = Job using the 6 elements offensively
The only thing connecting CON to WHM right now are some of the healing skills. However, any argument at this point using current skillsets as a basis is currently very poor, considering we know that all skills will be getting a significant revamp come 1.20. Not to mention that Yoshi himself has said that CON/THM skillsets are currently vague, and will become clearer come 1.20.

How the hell is THM, a class that deals with haunting and sacrificing their own life to heal others look to be a WHM?
CNJ has Cures, Raise, Curaga, Protect, Shell = ALL WHM
THM Has Sacrifice (halming them selves), Resurect (death magic) = BLM & Dark Knight (for its emo-ness)
Its obvious....
