    I just hate that you do your missions then after that....FATEs? Why can't there be events where we gotta defend against Sky Pirates? Or go on their ships and loot them while defeating mini bosses?

    I swear if I see the FATE "Excited Boys" i'll throw myself off the highest mountain, I swear that FATE is taunting you with what the hype could have been "You EXCITED bois!!??" I was, not anymore. I honestly just sit there after the mission to see if any boss FATEs will pop up which are few and in between, only 2 NMs FATEs per Diadem if you're lucky, nor are you guaranteed a minion per boss FATE either.

    Its still boring like hell. On Top of it things get locked behind the objektives that take pretty long + its just another thing with an annoying fate grind.

    Diadem is just a failed project for me.

    I like the exploratory emergancy mission. That was cool. Unfornately people can easily screw it up and then your done until it pops up again. And with that 280 being thrown in, people are salty enough to purposefully wipe the raid. As for diadem itself, over all a marked improvement over the old diadem especially in the gathering aspect. I also liked how some of the fate mobs had some light mechanics thrown in.

    I really don't know what ppl were expecting, this was promoted as a farming ground so that should have been the expectation, what I see are ppl that complain about it beign boring, maybe that's not their cup of tea. It's actually annoyong see ppl calling this lazy when there have been huge improvements on the place on it's gameplay and the technical side of the enemy behaviors.
    But w/e pls continue with this

    In fairness, yes, being able to travel without accidentally pulling a whole island is nice, the aetherial gap thing is. . . interesting, but in the end, you're FATE/Hunt Mark grinding for Accursed Hoard sacs for Tokens for gear/mats, in hopes that that ONE INTERESTING NEW THING happens and maybe people coordinate enough to finish it for that 1% chance at something that might be really awesome for your given job. . .

    In short, Open World RNG: The Instance.

    What's really annoying is people who accept any kind of nonsense and excuses that developers throw at us every now and then. Some call them whiteknights and you're free to be one. Thing is, this content IS indeed boring and you will see it very quickly once initial wave of players test it out and decide to never bother again. Hell - any dungeon is this game is more exciting and has better environment and mobs design. I've done 2 runs, and at this point I'd do literally anything but Diadem. There is a reason why so many people are disappointed in this. It's not about the grind, because this game has always been about grinding. People are used to it. Thing is - this grind is tedious, has absolutely nothing exciting outside of emergency mission and on top of that - it can yield weapon better than anything else available in the game so far. Worth mentioning is the fact that chance for it is astronomically small, which will reduce tremendously in less than a week or two, any motivation of getting said weapon that people may have today. You can be sure that this Diadem will die the same way original Diadem did. Mark my words.

    You say about huge improvements but I genuinely see none outside of the fact that you don't need to unlock flying now, and the fact that you can deaggro mobs (it can and does lead to some serious trolling, but that's a different story). It's literally the same bunch of non-interesting (visual wise) islands with annoying dummy-type mobs (now tied to fates - wow, such HUGE improvement), with some really poor rewards. It can't be use to level up, it's not efficient to farm it for tomes. Only reason seem to be trying to get that 280 weapon (unless for some reason you want to farm materia, that already pluments in price) and this as everyone knows - may never happen. In that case - what's the point at all of this nonsense ?

    I'd like to remind you dear whiteknight, that this content took more than a year to revamp and it's hard for me to believe that this is the best that SE can come up with. It's only slighty better than original Diadem, yet has been hyped as REVAMP. Just like a11s jumping on airship mechanic was called "never seen in any other mmo". I mean seriously - w/e - if you enjoy this content so much go and play the living hell out of it. Make sure that you squeeze out that sub fee value and play it for hours and hours until your brain melts. Those who defends this lazy design, deserve to get content like this and play it indefinitely.

    Whelp, I was hoping all the hate was unjustified, that it was the people that still get a kick from "item level" hype or new players bummed out by sudden "invalidation" of their glamour relics.

    As soon as the mission objective completed the group dispersed to check out the zone, two minutes later there were 5 then 4 then just the three I left behind. So here we are, again. What happened? I don't think the devs understand what went wrong with the last, did they really think the main problem was lack of direction that they needed to add fates everywhere? It feels like a leveling zone.

    This iteration is worst than its predecessor, and whats this explore theme, explore what exactly? This zone is kinda ugly, sea of clouds would of made a more interesting setting. I could dig an exploratory theme but you gotta make it trippy, flying around to get to land masses can't be the climax, and since we are in the advent of airship technology why not.. you know.. throw in a friggin.. yeah.

    Anyhow for me the worst part is how it moves the one zone that was supposed to bring community into endgame further away from purpose, don't see why I should even have the option to enter with my airships anymore. It makes me think the prob is really with developer culture, it brings me back to what was said regarding what they wanted the Diadem to be and how 1st and 2nd gen mmo elements were considered... sorry but the old guys did it better ! This genre has truly lost its roots, now its all about what worked for the other guys, and guess what, I like potatoes but when I eat them everyday I throw up.

    Let's talk about mechanics we've observed so far.

    - I've noted that 'Corrupted Sprites' have a chance of spawning after each successful fate, regardless of whether or not it involved a damage field. Killing one awards you a treasure coffer.
    - 'Baby Brachiosaurus' occasionally spawn in the southwestern island. I witnessed a group kill one, which IMMEDIATELY spawned a fate I hadn't seen before, 'Slaughter of the Lost Legend', where you had to kill 4 of them in a 5 minute period. The group I saw failed that since there weren't enough people around, so I didn't get to see what happened for clearing it. (I did note from a separate run that the island is exactly where the adult Brachiosaur boss FATE spawns too...)
