    Weapon aside, what do you think of the reworked diadem?

    I think the forced objectives were a good direction, but everything else past that seems worse than old diadem.

    The lockbox system isn't very rewarding, all you get is materia IV and brass spoils with a very very low chance to get i265 gear that most likely wont be for your class and could have poor stats.

    The NM fates don't seem to spawn very often.

    Fates have a very short duration so you're always risking not clearing them in time.

    Unlike what they said, there's no exploration being rewarded, you just stick to a zone and do fates until a NM fate spawns

    The emergency mission seems like a party can easily grief and wipe the whole map.

    Several fates have a weird aggro system, if you try to dodge an aoe all your recorded enmity is dropped.

    Overall wasn't a very engaging experience. I'm afraid of what's in store for Eureka

    Very disappointing. Didn't get the emergency mission pop in my run, but the rest of it just seemed like mindless FATE grinding unless I'm missing something. Considering this was supposed to be undergoing a "revamp", doesn't seem much different to the old Diadem to me - replace monster killing with FATE grinding, and it's practically the same content. Try again SE.

    Oh forgot another, they pretty much killed any reason to use FC airships for diadem, if you try to lowman gathering you wont be able to do the objectives, lowman battle and you probably wont get gold credit or wont kill fates in time, no reason to not queue through ishgard.

    Found it terribly boring, wouldn't be running it again even if it dropped the best weapons in the ga- oh wait

    Just from what I've read, one of the key problems seems like nine parties per instance is just too many people. Is that a fair assessment?

    So either go in with a full FC party or queue up solo?

    I personally count that as more of a pro myself, I'd rather save my company credits, ha.

    It's mind numbing. Probably even more than original Diadem as rewards are just garbage compared to what we had in past. Even if rewards were better, it's still boring fate grinding, boring world, boring mobs and same music theme over and over and over again. Have to agree with pretty much everything that has been written by OP. I expect "ravamped" Diadem to die even faster than original one. I love this game but there is no way to defend this. Diadem is just garbage excuse of a content as it is now. It'd be better if they just removed it from the game and development time was used on making a new dungeon or two.

    This is disappointing to read. Was really hoping for some "true" exploratory content that rewarded gatherers and DoW/Ms for working together, not more stuff that has them working at separate end goals and causing queue friction.

    Locking gathering behind objectives first is a baffling decision. As alimdia said, this basically kills queues through FC airships because anything less than a party of 5-6 might not clear the objectives in time to do any significant gathering. And even AFTER you finish the objectives, there will be pressure from the battle members to remain as a combat class for the rest of the mission.
