Nobody's asking to go after your cards in general.

We're asking to go after Balance specifically while the other more interesting cards get buffed. You know there's a problem with AST's unique identity when 3-4 of the other cards only get treated as Royal Road fodder to power up Balance and the occasional Bole the vast majority of the time. Unless one's argument is literally "Balance IS the unique identity of AST!" To which I call BS, such a person never cared about AST having a unique identity in the first place, they only cared about being broken.

Damage buffs are the least interesting form of support yet the most effective utility any single class can ask for, and one as powerful as Balance is unhealthy for only a single healer to have for long term game balance.
