Anything that was explicitly tied to a monetary purchase (1.0 legacy items, soundtrack minions, art book minions) should NEVER be made available outside of those original purchases, since the implication at time of purchasing them was that they would remain exclusive, which added to their original value. I know that I for one, would instantly refuse to ever buy another minion-bundled store item if they set a precedent of "just wait and you can buy the minion separately whenever", and I think that is the main thing SE wants to avoid.

Considering the items are priced the same after the minion codes have expired, the purchase of something you hopefully wanted included an in-game bonus that didn't cost you extra. You got a limited time bundle. I don't like the cash shop, but I'm all for separating the codes from physical items if it means less physical waste from people that could care less about the physical items.

People factor the very fact that it's a "limited time bundle" into their decision to buy it. If in the end SE was gonna walk back on that and say "Actually it wasn't exclusive, we were gonna sell the minion separately later", then that diminishes the value of the purchase.

It'd be a pretty scummy thing to do to the original purchasers.

If, in the future they want to list future bundled items as "advanced access", or "time-limited exclusivity", then I'd have no problem with them selling THOSE minions on the MogStation, but as they didn't do that to the original items, I oppose the OP.

as unpopular as it is the promotional in game items were marketed as limited edition.
It would be just as unfair to those that purchased them to release them as you believe it is unfair to you that they are limited

Except this is also a limited time bundle, and a very special one at that. Items can be in multiple exclusives and still retain their value, the only difference is that if you already have your minion, it won't factor in your buying of this limited time bundle.

Mogstation will diminish their value however.

I don't have any of those items (that I'm aware of anyway, I joined during 2.1), but I believe the exclusives should remain exclusive. Yes, it means I'll never get them, but whatever, I wasn't around at the time for whatever reason. As someone has pointed out, they were marketed as exclusive, and there are some parts of the world I believe that if they went back on that they could be sued for false advertisement. And if they could be sued and they did it, it's extremely likely people would band together to file a class-action lawsuit against SE and that's the last thing they want.

Yea I think it just a rumor, I did a search on google and couldn't find anything about it.

I doubt too many people would go through the trouble of a lawsuit, but I agree with you on the exclusives remaining exclusive thing, as someone who also doesn't have much of what OP listed.
