You would have to do the same thing for THM so your argument is invalid lol. You would have to move all the THM nuking skills to CON.What about the Umbral?
No... CNJ deals with all the Elements. THM has nothing that even hints at the elements, just astral/umbral spells. If THM turns into WHM, what moves from CNJ to THM? Cure I-III, Raise I and II, Rebirth, Pro+Shell, SS, and the Curagas.
CNJ WHM? Move Blizzard, Fire, Stone, Aero, Thunder, Water I-II + Choke, Burn, etc. I-II + AM, Profundity I-II, Purge I-II, Resonance, as well as whatever I can't think of at the top of my head... That's over 30 spells/abilities.
THM lore fits BLM well and CON's lore fits WHM if you can't see then I'm sorry
How many does THM have? 15? And CNJ lore does not fit curing at all. I've only played that and not once have they expressed a notion or want of curing.

I disagree with you. You are forgetting that there are two sides to the THM faith. Light and dark. Yin and Yang. Death and life. If that isn't the archetype for a priest/whm I don't know what is.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - I cannot see White Mage evolving from a guild that worships sin, considers death profit, and runs a mausoleum. It just... I can't.
Also, they've known about the job system for a long time, they wouldn't have given CON three raises and two AoE cures if they weren't trying to single it out as the WHM ahead of time.
And THM very much deals in the elements.
Banish and Scourge each contain 33.3% of three elements. It's called polarity.

The two AoE cures are simple to explain: "CNJ has Cure spells, we're not giving THM Curaga."I've said it before, I'll say it again - I cannot see White Mage evolving from a guild that worships sin, considers death profit, and runs a mausoleum. It just... I can't.

Yes, but your storyline doesn't involve elements actively. Ours does. The whole time.

This^ Worshipers of death are Holy healers!!!!!! LOLI've said it before, I'll say it again - I cannot see White Mage evolving from a guild that worships sin, considers death profit, and runs a mausoleum. It just... I can't.

Also look @ THM's spells some of them give your life to heal others or hurt others its all about death there.
Edit: Also If you look @ CON and THM Raw stats that will also be your answer to which job they are gonna lean towards.

All priests are concerned with the afterlife. Also, all religious organizations are concerned with money. Seems to me that SE was making a social commentary when adding THM to the game.

I also can't see a group of pit fighters who slaughter others for profit becoming holy defenders. But yet gladiators are to become paladins.I've said it before, I'll say it again - I cannot see White Mage evolving from a guild that worships sin, considers death profit, and runs a mausoleum. Consider this, also. Though THMs worship Nald'Thal (god of life and death), the actual guild is physically stationed in the temple of Thal (god of death). This would probably account for the THM quests leaning toward darker behaviors. I imagine that things involving WHM would be stationed in the temple of Nald (god of life), to balance this.
In essence, WHM wouldn't conflict with THM, it would provide balance to it. Given all things, it fits neatly with the lore, like a missing puzzle piece.
