    PAX East 2017 Question-Gathering

    Heyo peeps. There is less than a week for the PAX in Boston. I couldnt find any topic yet for a question gathering. Hence I thought creating one to see what people would like to see ask if they had the chance to.

    My own question:

    Since there is no work on the character creator, can we atleast hope for more presets for faces, eyes, mouths, more tattoos, more race specific tattoo's (maybe even body ones?) etc? Adding new sliders might be probably more work, so can we atleast hope for more variety?

    I'm interested in what tank changes their doing. My g/f mains tank, and hope they change things around so tanking come naturally. from 15+ you are a high def dps, from 30-40 you get tank stance. Based on dungeon/gear of group tanking can be harder/easier.

    My question would be "what changes will be made to tanks/ enmity gain, would you be willing to put tank stance at 15 for all jobs?"

    Probably best off asking questions that might have a chance of getting answered without a repeat answer. I imagine asking about character customization will yield the same answer, no matter how specific you get.

    I wouldn't mind learning a bit more lore about the new Jobs personally. What Nation does Red Mage come from, if a nation at all?

    Might also ask questions they could easily answer like, Why add the /playdead and /backflip emotes to the Mogstation rather than making them acquirable in game? What is the rationale behind making them $7 when emotes have been much, much cheaper in the past?

    They've already stated they cannot and will not discuss coming class changes until May at the earliest. I don't think they'll give us any information like this. We'd just be told again to wait and see.

    ya I'm also curious as to the $7 emotes. it would cost $28 for me and my g/f to get both. that is $2 away from out $30 sub cost. Just for 1 characer emotes.

    Could also ask related questions like, "Why is there no Account-Wide Option in the Mog Station for items? $15 for a set for one character, $30 for all characters across an account or such."

    Granted if I could ask a question other than Red Mage's origins (which I doubt would get answered anyways), I'd want to ask if there are any plans to implement private instanced player housing to alleviate the housing crisis, or what plans SE has to resolve the matter besides adding more wards once a year or expansion.

    no real housing crisis though. Not SE fault people congregated on 2 servers. globin server has a TON of housing.

    and i don't recall them saying they won't reply to question about classes. just battle system I'm more curious about the possibility of tank stance @ 15... maybe as a way to make a suggestion.

    Yes it is. They allowed players to pile into the server (server transfers) it is therefore their fault and issue. This also affects people who didn't pile into the server but just came there naturally (part of the server's creation).

    Just sort of a tangent to Vexander's instances housing comment (since instanced housing is known as it is shown in other MMOs): does SE still keep an eye on their competition? Not to copy it all but to realize what other MMOs are doing better for example. There is an MMO for example the does nearly exactly SE's system but auto generates wards. Or another that has massive more customization and community even though instanced or another that has fold more players but still allows everyone their own place. (Basically saying their current system seems very non-competitive, not just one or two that do it better but many).

    no they don't they do a create character stop on congested worlds. Players milk it by transferring or waiting for the golden moment.

    Most people forget how player housing came about.

    1) it was going to be its own thing, but players wanted all perk of an FC house with a player house so SE did what they could.

    2) anyone can make a character on a low pop server, SE is and has been trying to get people to do so. With the cross world pf ect.

    they are trying to build a community game, and already said they are not too keen on instance housing. It came up multiple times.

    a housing crisis would be if ALL servers had no housing. and that isn't the case. The more wards they had for bulmung and gilgamesh, the emptier smaller servers become as we end up with more housing then players.

    my g/f have seen other mmo do instance housing, and it seems disjointed.
