Did you compete in Season 3 and earn a Hellhound mount? No? THAT'S why you don't have one. You're trying to argue the logic that having it doesn't diminish the merits or achievements of those that did earn it, but that's just it; if they didn't earn it, why are they entitled to it? I've applied plenty of logic here, but you seem to miss that core idea. So let's keep it strictly to the game, since I am proud of my service and accomplishments within and won't cheapen it with this discussion.

I don't have to earn a Purple Heart by serving in the military but I can buy one from any plethora of websites and retailers that sell them. Once again you can't seem to get it out of your head that people want the mounts to be just given to them and not simply earned in another way. Just because they got the same thing as you but earned it in a different way doesn't mean it negates how you earned it.

It doesn't get much simpler than that and if you can't realize that then we're done here. No one is entitled to anything, people just want things because they do. It's perfectly acceptable for people to ask for things to be obtain in different manners or at a later date.

I don't have a Kirin mount. All I need to get one is the Titan mount. Now, I've cleared Titan extreme plenty of times now, and lost rolls and even passed on the mount for others that simply wanted it more. I've since made no effort at all to get it. Key words there: MADE NO EFFORT. Am I then entitled to the Kirin? I've got 6 out of 7, and I can easily get it IF I try. But I already tried plenty of times before. I just didn't win it. But by your logic, I fully deserve it, no?

Once again you continue to use analogies comparing apples and oranges. You own example is so pathetically poor as usual. The Kirin mount was harder to get before than it was now, you couldn't cheese fights and the drop rates on ponies was much lower. Now, the drop rates are incredibly high for them, the fights can be done unsynced with very powerful gear and completed/farmed in no time.

So the effort use to obtain them is almost zero even if you do go get them, and people can even be carried through to get them where they still give no effort. So why you're using examples that make your argument even more ridiculous is beyond me.

I'm going to put this in bold because maybe you will get it through your, at this point, apparently intentionally obtuse mind:
Earning the same mount, through a different means at a later time, is not being handed a freebie. It does not invalidate the original achievement that awarded the mount in the first place.

I don't even know where to begin with the Purple Heart thing. . . Wounded in battle vs just buying it. . . No, it doesn't negate how they earned it, but the difference IS that they earned it. I'm going to simply end that line of discussion there.

As for people asking for things to be obtainable at a later date, this and the legacy stuff is literally the ONLY content in game that can't be obtained later, give or take a few seasonal event/crossover items. These few things still pale in comparison to everything else you CAN still get later, like many of the examples we've both listed. And with new stuff always being added anyways, is it so bad if you don't get that ONE THING you didn't compete for? Here's again what you seem to be missing: You're asking for a competition award to be offered via a different means than the competition it was meant as a prize for, despite the fact there's still a chance to get it in Season 4. Are you going to participate in Season 4? Do you want that mount bad enough to participate?

If no, then no, you do NOT deserve it. You said it yourself, "No one is entitled to anything, people just want things because they do."

I can ask you the same question. Is it so bad if other people people get things later earned by different means? Considering everything else goes that same route. I used to be salty about PvP armor getting reduced, and eventually removed, requirements of PvP rank, because I felt like then people could get the armor that I had to seriously earn through hard grinding back when Wolve's Den first came out. But I got over it, because that's how these things go, stuff becomes easier to get, and having more things accessible is good for the game in general.
Far more people would enjoy earning these things through other means, than those who would be bothered by their availability being made more open later on. That's the simple truth.

Of course I will be, but considering I reside on a data center with not only a combination of the most populated servers, on top of one of the highest amounts of PvP'ers, it shows how the miniscule amount of rewards distributed per data center is a flawed design.

Nobody wants to earn a Purple Heart. This a case where people want a mount, which is different. You also can't compare a virtual mount to a loss of lives.

Then go with my previous example of something like a Medal of Honor. Missing the point entirely.

I also wasn't the one who initially tried to compare the situation with stolen valor or a myriad of other real world analogies that aren't remotely the same.
