No 4 man dungeon drop in the game is current gear.
Anything that can be traded in for gc seals is not current gear.
anything not on a weekly lockout isn't current gear.
therefore his whole complaint is based on people rolling need on thing that isn't current bis. So why does he need it? He doesn't. Woah.

Even if they win the roll, it's still completely fair and equal, and it doesn't matter one iota what they plan to use it for. Them using it for GC seals or desynthesis or glamour is just as valid and "necessary" as you using it for stats. In fact, it's often more "necessary" for someone using it for purposes other than stats because any dungeon gear used for stats is going to be replaced soon.
