[DEV REQUEST] Please stop making cash shop items one character only.

I didn't want to add another thread to the pile of complaints about the latest additions to the cash shop, but I felt I needed to add my voice to this and a post hidden in a thread isn't going to attract as much attention.

I'm not overly happy about the idea of a cash shop - I remember the FFXI days where if you missed an item in a previous event, you could often buy it again at the next one, but I digress.

Regarding the cash shop, if I like something enough, I will get it since there's no other way to have it. To date I have purchased a platinum wedding package, a Fat Moogle mount and a wind-up Urianger so although I have used the cash shop before, I don't buy everything they add either.

The point of this thread is to ask why must items purchased on the cash shop be restricted to one character until further purchases are made for alts? I'm mostly referring to old event equipment, mounts and emotes here. Since I purchased the wind-up Urianger and wedding package a while ago for my main, I've made and play several alts. I don't think it's right that alt players should have to pay more - it's almost like we're being punished for not buying loads of fantasia or something.

I only bought the Fat Moogle mount because it was account wide, can't everything be like this on the Mogstation? It just feels like greed at this point.

tl;dr: SE, if you must have a cash shop in a subscription based MMO, can you at least make items purchased be delivered to all characters on an account?

EDIT: I hope you can see that by restricting sales to one character per transaction rather than making it account wide, you're quite possibly losing more sales than you stand to gain.

I agree with this, and I believe that the item shouldn't come at an increased price if its for the account. LOTRO does this extremely well, everything you buy with points is account bound (except some consumables) and in addition to this the points are even able to be worked for in the game it self.

You know the answer to this tho same reason we are gettin a jump potion and it is simply for money not other reason SE is a business and thats what businesses do.

I'm well aware of the reasoning, doesn't mean I can't voice my disagreement with it though, does it? I even said it's greed on SE's part, so it's fairly obvious I know the answer.

I mean Id even like to be able to transfer gil and have a pool to share between my alts , kinda why I stoped playign them because you cant but I know the reasons and I just have to adjust

Actually you can if they're in the same server and with a 2nd person involved to be the middleman. I have my wife friend all my alts. I send her anything I want to give them (Gil, minion, gear, etc.) and she disperses them to who I want.

While jump potion talk makes me stick to my stomach (i don't want it), Yoshida DID say that he is personally in favour of it, and that the dev team are currently 6/4 or 7/3 in favour of it.

I don't mind supporting this game through the mog station and I buy fantasia and nice glamours/emotes. But my only complaint is that it is not account-wide.
I remember when fantasia purchases -used- to go to all characters on an account instead of just one. I'm not sure why they decided to change the policy.

I agree that anything they ask for real world money for should be ACCOUNT-WIDE. That would at least make the high prices for little items more acceptable. I have multiple characters, and I refuse to pay $5-$10 for the same little item/emote for EACH. There are many items I would have already purchased had they been account wide, but instead I don't because if I buy something I should feel happy about it afterwards instead of having mixed emotions because it feels like a bad deal. Only SE can see the numbers though, and they obviously make a lot of money with their current set up so It very likely won't get better.
