We are getting more inventory space and another housing ward in Stormblood. Housing will also see an item limit increase. Those things take up resources continuously so I'm not sure the static sub fee can cover upgrades like that indefinitely. Unless they raise the sub fee. Would you consider that to be a better alternative?

Don't be disappointed. You are currently enjoying the benefits of other people's wealth as a resident of the Chaos data centre.

yeah... after they charged for additional retainers for ages. in 4.0 we get free additional inventory space, to be filled with all the crap that comes with 4.0, but still until then the only way to increase storage slots is... real cash

That might be a viable argument if Square made efficient use of their resources. I haven't seen their architecture or code, but some of the apparent design decisions Square makes are head scratchers from an efficiency standpoint. For example, if item inventory expansion is just gonna be a flat increase in slots, that's not the most efficient way to solve to problem of bloated inventories. A glamour log would require less data transmission and storage for essentially the same effect. Games with far less revenue compared to square offer more inventory space for items and more decor slots for their housing.

Square does this cuz they can make a buck. That's it. It's rather disgusting to claim repeatedly Our game isn't built for f2p, so we want to use a sub model and then open a cash shop anyway after people are paying a full box price for your game AND a 15 dollar minimum monthly sub (for non-legacy).
