I own my own house, am on all the time, but barely use it. Does that bother you as well? What should SE do about that? Oh... have a gm show up to my house every day for 1hour and if i am not there to /wave at him i should lose my house!

They don't do anything about it as long as the "seller" says to the GM : but i did not buy it to resell ! what ? 40M to leave the house ? Don't know what yout talking about

A person can't really lie about it if the GM cares to look into it. They can see PF entries and the chat log, so saying "idk what you talking about" really won't work if you get a GM that in a bad mood or one the personally despises house selling. (some GMs play the game themselves on their off time)

So basically the OP in a nutshell: OP can't get a house, so chooses to complain in forums. OP wants users who worked so hard to save up gil to actually get a house, to pay an extra inconvenient fee...because they can't get a house. OP is mad that FCs are "sitting" on a house, despite the fact that it may just be the leader that's inactive, but the FC itself is still active. And then to say that solo players should be forced to get an apartment instead of a house...completely defeats the purpose of housing.

Here's the thing about housing demos, here on behemoth, housing has a high turnover rate. I can't speak for other servers, but we have quite a few houses go up for sale every week. In January alone, I saw my FC call out at least 15 different houses that ranged between small and medium...and some sat open for a few hours. All it takes is to check the wards every day to watch and see if one opens up. That being said, I do believe the housing situation is terrible and that they should do instanced housing. If they can do it for fc rooms and apartments, it shouldn't be that hard to do them for an actual house.

Or better yet they shut down those dead weight servers or don't even give them new zones and use the resources for other servers. If they want to keep current open world system. They need to stop adding houses to a sub 2k server like Mateus.

How is that server even still running? Oh I know they are using full servers to cover for the fact it is a waste of money. Anything with sub 8k player base should be merged. Or removed from all cross server partying systems.

Believe it or not, some people prefer smaller servers when compared to overcrowded ones like Balmung. Mateus is doing just fine :P

Because you guys ended up on a small sever. Then always come on forums and defend SE and say pay to move. We can all make foolish comments. Like give a company more money to fix a problem. Consider Balmung is a legacy server. Not only legacy, but with characters with last names that match the 11 server they are from.

But if you guys had to que with out those full servers filling groups we would see a different type of comment on the forums.Basically SE is double dipping. They use the full servers to fill groups on dead servers. But then they don't allocate resources evenly.

I started on a big legacy server (Hyperion) and moved to a smaller one to be able to get a house and have the areas be less crowded. So yes I say pay to move cause for some people that want a house that badly, it's an option.

Cross world party finder is recent. Also doesn't change that cross server groups are used to balance out dead worlds. Imagine leveling roulette just picking from people on your server. They would have merged some servers if you only had 1700 players to try to form groups from.

I guess you and I will definitely fall on opposite sides of the fence. I would never give a company money to cover what I feel is a poor system. I would pay more and drive farther to know I was treated better or got a better product. If SE decided to split the mega servers instead of merging. Since individual worlds will never have proper housing I might stand behind that (but pretty far).

How about we isolate Balmung, instead? Cross-server PF has shown that players from smaller servers are more competent, anyways.
