I love how endless this debate is (until they actually start selling these pots). I go a day or two not seeing it then boom, right back up again.

Parsers don't generate toxicity themselves.it's not because a parser is a tool for toxicity whereas a jump potion is an excuse to be toxic.
if they were going to be an ass they will find an excuse whether or not the jump potions exist but if they didn't have an official tool, they can't proudly claim to use a 3rd party one.
It's the player who decides to be toxic.
Parsers are just a tool, people will be toxic if they have a parser or not.
I used to be neutral on the subject of parsers, but the more arguments I heard from the anti parser crowd the more I supported adding parsers.
Yes.
And no.
Let me explain. When these potions go into effect, we'll see an increase in players only a few short steps from endgame. Skill levels will most likely reflect the current status quo, with 2% being poop sockers, 58% being midcore of varying levels, and the other 40% being emote spamming dungeon afk plzcarryme's who have zero intentions of bettering themselves. Indirectly, jump potions will increase the number of each category. The catch that can skew the numbers towards that 40% more heavily is the type of customers the product is primarily being aimed at.
Likelihood is the word of choice for this discussion. In all likelihood, jump potions will bring in more low tier players than mid or hardcore. We can assume this based on preexisting numbers. Predicting the future can be a grey zone. The potion won't literally create these players, but it does enable them to omit and bypass days of learning.
Unless Yoshi posts hard data that outright states "level jumpers parse a third of non-jumpers" of course, which wouldn't be a thing anyways...
"In all likelihood" as you put it, the jump potion won't create what isn't already going to be present regardless. Those players that jumped just a few short steps from endgame will get there with or without a jump potion. Their skill level will be completely independent of how they got there as well, as leveling does not determine their skill level. You will get shitty level jumpers and you will get incredibly skilled level jumpers just the same as you get shitty normal levelers and incredibly skilled normal levelers now. They aren't omitting learning by level jumping. With how leveling works in this game and how it can be done, leveling does not equal learning.
As I said, yes and no. What the potion will be doing is accelerating their presence. You're not wrong in that bad players will be bad, but it will be increasing their frequency, quite possibly dramatically."In all likelihood" as you put it, the jump potion won't create what isn't already going to be present regardless. At the same time as increasing the frequency of good players as well, no? So in a way, nothing will change. The chances of getting a bad player and a good player will be similar to what it is now.
No it won't. All it is doing it cutting out the "wait time" between level 1 and level cap. Their presence will still be here regardless if they jumped the levels or leveled normally.
I still hope they earn a special colored sprout for 30 days after using that potion so we all know what we're getting. Maybe that will force them to run content to learn their damn class in the meantime.
And yet again I'm going to say -- doing all the work to get through the MSQ and level to 60 shows that a player is willing to put in the time and effort to achieve their goals and not give up. That's an attribute in a player that I want in my raid group.
What I don't want is a lazy instant-gratification snowflake that will quit the second they don't win. That wastes my and everyone else's time waiting to refill slots. No thanks, we already have enough of that horse-sh from people already. I don't need it to be multiplied.
I will also toss this out there: My FC is already working to set up policies and premades internally to avoid forcing our members to DF/PF *any* content. These types of BS moves from Square will cause the DF/PF to be a ghost town and screw over the solo players. For many people it's going to be even more silos of FCs that don't want to deal with a polluted community.

Then don't add them to your raid group. And..yeah duh, run content with your FC. That's why you have one.I still hope they earn a special colored sprout for 30 days after using that potion so we all know what we're getting. Problem solved.
