Why should SE care if they do that? I mean someone has to log in and go into the house to keep it -> Subscription paid.
And nobody is ignoring the facts that it exists but there is a difference between trying to keep your house by logging in only once per month and buying it simply to sell it for more profit... Also lets not forget that there are probably enough people that just simply cant play right now for personal reasons. They are forced to log in every 45 days thus have to pay a subscription each month and yet you somehow want to make that short amount of time even shorter...like some said Yoshida himself was okay with people taking longer breaks but somehow us house owners are not allowed to do so..(I hate the timer, its like you can never take a break again..and I am quite sure that if I ever lose my house thanks to an unplanned illness..welp I would just delete the game..)
I always find it kinda sad that the community wants to punish the players instead of blaming those that made the mistake: SE! They choose a system that is so restricted and limited and at the same time never thought about things like a housing limit per character..and instead of owning up to their mistake they keep the system and on top of that punish their own playerbase thanks to the timer. (Which also means that they broke their own words about not having such a thing)
Sorry OP in the end I can understand those people that give the rights to others or only log in to save their house..people often saved a lot of gil to buy it and at the start of the housing system there was never a word about a timer so all of us believed that we will keep it forever..like a lot of games do. Its saddening that people have to do such things just because the devs cant make a new and better system..I would instantly change my personal housing plot for an instanced one..at least I could leave the game for some time and come back with all of my things intact..
