Gonna be honest here. This is a total non-issue. There are enough ways to avoid this that the devs shouldn't have to play mommy and daddy. I had this happen to me once during an A10 run and it wasn't a big deal. We got through it with no issues and went on with our lives afterwards.

They are there and it is an issue.

So...the party you had happen to be able to carry the person who had the improper weapon then...but what if this happened and you didn't get through it with no issues? What if you wiped multiple times or are unable to clear due to the DF not properly screening gear... is it still a non-issue then too?

What would you do then?

Pretty much. And I'm speaking for myself included. Now, I wouldn't use the term "accept." Moreso leaning towards "relate" all the while being able to understand. I've tanked before, I know what it's like to need to be in good condition to run EX content. I also know the importance of VIT and knowing my buttons. But, I DPS because I realized I cared much more about the world and story over raids.
