Yes, because right now you can own more than one estate, and make one an FC estate if you're the FC leader. If the change game through, that would likely change.

or maybe you know, if you want a pixil house so bad, change servers. Servers like zalera and mateus have almost half the housing in the new districts still open in goblet and LB, and about 1/4th in mist. But you know. Rp's, friends, other nonsence you use to justify living on an overcrowded server. *shrugs*
I think its time SE should implement free xfer off of large server like gilgamesh or balmung without limiting how much gil u can carry. With the implement of cross server pf, there are advantage of being on smaller server.
there is also the problem of people hoarding houses on their alt after xfering to another server, I know couple of people that have done that.
this should have been a thing before housing even launched, but SE can't exactly change it now.... if they do there will be lots of whining and crying from the selfish players ( and FCs ) that own serveral homes. Grinds my gears to see the FC on Greg that owns ( I think ) seven houses.. that /no one/ ever uses.
I also support this idea. There is no harm in allowing free transfers to basically dead servers. Most of all if someone wants a house badly enough? They'll do it. Right now the hinderence is losing your /entire/ fortune. I have considered in the past ( before my FC got a house ) moving all of us to a smaller server, but it just wasn't an option when we all had hundreds of millions of gil. It's not really worth it honestly.I think its time SE should implement free xfer off of large server like gilgamesh or balmung without limiting how much gil u can carry. My own thoughts?
I want to know why SE is so damn stubborn about instanced housing. They talk about the constant load of wards, items in the gardens and the strain that causes on the servers... wouldn't houses that aren't loaded 24/7 solve that? Or am I crazy?
I like our housing wards, they are beautiful and super unique to any other game i've seen.... However unique does not always mean better. I'm disappointed to see the next housing system were getting is wards again. I feel bad for all the people that are going to be stepping over dead bodies to try to get a house on larger servers. ( and yet again, they'll be gone in moments on Gilgamesh, Balmung, Sarg )
Limiting the number of homes per account would solve this ( Inlcuding FC houses, because lets be honest, if you're the FC leader... you control everything about the house... you don't need a personal house. I am speaking as an FC leader, who owns a home for my FC. )

Honestly I'd prefer the private instanced housing, and then Wards being reserved EXCLUSIVELY for Free Companies, one house per Free Company.this should have been a thing before housing even launched, but SE can't exactly change it now.... if they do there will be lots of whining and crying from the selfish players ( and FCs ) that own serveral homes. It ticks me when I see how many house Aeth owns.I also support this idea. There is no harm in allowing free transfers to basically dead servers. Most of all if someone wants a house badly enough? there is also the problem with inv issues when picking up all ur furniture, I think whenever u destroy a house or vacant an apartment, u should be given a key item that u can give to a npc to store ur furniture without a timeframe, until u found another house.
Yes! Me too. It makes me sad seeing how dead the wards are. I remember when housing originally came out and the wards were incredibly active because it was FCs only.
I think it's ok to have to be able to pick up your items within x amount of days since thats kinda on you as the owner, more time would be nice though... most of all for the people that willingly just let their house demolish while unsubbed. It ticks me when I see how many house Aeth owns.

I'm not entirely sure what you two (Stitches1974 & Masekase_Hurricane) are trying to accomplish with your screenshots.
The system currently allows a character:
1 Private Estate
1 Free Company Property (If you are an FC Leader)
1 Apartment
2 Shared Estates (You are sharing someone else's Private Estate)
The display of your location will always says "Private Estate or Private Chambers", because coding restrictions. The location text, is not an indication or your ownership. If you went to someone else's FC house or Private Estate, your location would read the same.
