I don't mean to pick on you, but this post is pretty bitter.
Do you remember the start of Heavensward, when tanks had long queues and DPS got instant ones? People are going to want to play any new job they find appealing (which is why I leveled MCH first before the other 2 new jobs then), and they're going to play a new job purely because it's something new. So those "1.5 hour long queues" aren't an exclusive DPS privilege.
Like with Dark Knight. And how many Dark Knights picked up tank with no prior experience or care for how to tank, and just tried to be DPS-lite? How many picked the job up never even knowing that there are aggro dots on the enemy list, or understanding what a cooldown is? And finally, how many people threw the job away once they were done with it, because they like DPS better than the novelty of Dark Knight anyway?
Do you really want that, again only worse, at Level 50, just for what? The players who don't like tanking anyway to just drop away from the job like what happened to Dark Knight. Then you have three sword wielding tanks, four slashing-based tanks, all precariously balanced around each other because as it is the balance is precarious with just the three we have now, and the only people who suffer are the people who liked tanking anyway and played tank to tank, not tank to be the cool new job.
