TLDR: You ran into dumb people but you should also try to do what people are telling you to do, especially if you're tanking and your healer says that you can pull more adds.

Dont wanna be rude, but you dont sound like the person I would want in MY runs - this sounds very much like a "Do as you're told" mentality. And while I dont support ANY behaviour in a dungeon, I feel we need to tolerate a certain degree of difference in playstyle. And not wanting to speedrun/masspull a dungeon the first time you're doing it as a tank is defenitly well within those limits. Its not only about "Can the healer keep me up?" as a tank, its also "Where do I have to go? Are there any traps? Mobs I need to take special care of?"

If you want to ensure that you're going to have a speedrun: Bring your own tank. If not: Enjoy your bonus and relax...

haha we actually agree on something vidu wow amazing haha, and btw took your advice didnt use rf but used party finder and got the sep bird and clear thordan to last night still should be in the duty finder but surprisingly, people have joined my learning groups.

depends on how you wiped, some times i find tanks that cant hold aggro at lvl 60 dungeons , i would kick them since holding aggro isnt new to a lvl 60 tank

if you wipe to mechanics then its not your fault they should explain it to you instead

You won't be able to join anything because "Skip Soar", etc. I don't believe any more with the "FFXIV Community is great" like 2 years ago. That's no longer valid for this game. People is trying to turn this into a toxic shit like Lol, WoW or similar, and they are succeeding. And they are proud of quick players for note "being in the average" and other stupid reasons.

Sorry, but the FFXIV is no longer nice anymore. We lost it because people want this game only for "pros", building a wall to avoid newies or less skilled layers to join anything. And even justify it.

How was your gear? Did you specifically ask for advise? Even if you said you are new a lot of people don't give advise unless asked. There's a common trend where said person gets attacked by other players for spoiling the fight. I'm not saying what they did was right, honestly they shouldn't even be mentors but you can't judge every mentor or veteran player because of a few bad apples.

If its any consolation, just think of how they were dumb enough to kick out a Tank, which in my experience is one of the hardest roles to replace in an dungeon. So that would mean they stood there waiting for more than it should've been to finish the dungeon with you, than to wait for either a replacement to get in or ask/beg around their FCs to help them.

Does bear one question here. How do you wipe to the first boss? I could see the third getting people because of the AoE spam, or maybe the second because some people haven't done Coil. The first boss is pretty much a tank and spank with a slight add check.To kick a tank when it's the job of the DPS to nuke said adds? Something seems off.

If the group thinks they so good, then the adds don't even need to be taken out and the boss can just be burned. If they can't then maybe the need to look at themselves for before taking it out on the new person (the tank)

well everyone is free to play with who they want :P though if u use DF coz u want to get the dungeon done while ur pro friends are not on and u kick a new player , then its only fair to get banned for it for like 1 week XD
