In b4 "if you woud have healed only, they would've survived"
Also the other day all my party wiped in a dungeon with just me up and the mob on 3% suppose I should of just sat down and said sorry I don't dps instead of killing it.
Cool thanks for that info, at least I now know I only need dps stance on tank when I am doing storyline or class quests. Also when I have no mobs to tank as OT I can still stay in tank stance as I am a tank :S![]()
Worst part about that the party sucked and walked into every aoe/mechanic I couldn't dps. Had three new people with only one that would listen.
Yes I realised it was sarcasm but thought I would add my comment before people took you serious :PWas meant to be sarcastic anyway. Even i saw already dragoons, failing in an AoE and instant dying. Nothing to heal there. ^^

I was in an A12S clear party with a friend and their static to help em get their kill, the healer killed the boss when we all wiped at .5% guess what got us the win? The healer throwing out 2 GCD Malefic IIs and the people who were practicing for weeks got their kill. Good thing it's only for solo content right?

Oh god.. was there only once yet ... with my warrior as OT... thanks god warrior doesn't die instant xD
Yes I think most healers that enjoy dps as well like cs, and the point you want to dps as well is a valid one, and although I would never want anyone not to have fun, there are some healers that are not comfortable with dps, but are being made to, but no one is making dps heal and maybe if that was the case there would be many more people not enjoying the game any more.As an AST main( who is coming from NIN) I love CS, and I enjoy dealing damage. If my Co-healer is just healing, it's fine because that's their playstyle.
As for myself, 80% of the time,I'm in CS, I give the tank Aspected benefic + Aspected helios , go into CS and do some damage and pray the tank is using his CD and not be a paper lol.
Please SE , don't get rid of my Cleric Stance

Okay, look - no one can make you DPS while you heal, if you don't want to.Yes I think most healers that enjoy dps as well like cs, and the point you want to dps as well is a valid one, and although I would never want anyone not to have fun, there are some healers that are not comfortable with dps, but are being made to, but no one is making dps heal and maybe if that was the case there would be many more people not enjoying the game any more.
Just like I, a sch main who loves DPSing all the things, can't make a tank use his/her cooldowns to mitigate more so I can DPS more. As much as it annoys me, the most I can do is ask for them to use their skills and if they still don't, either shut up and move on or try to kick (and possibly disband because god knows getting tanks in progress is something miraculous).
You're free to play however you like - but maybe you should keep a few things in mind:
1) You're not playing solo. You might not view it this way, but DPSing on healers is to some (me included) a matter of respect as well as personal enjoyment. To further elaborate, most of the content I run is dailies and weekly instances; dungeons and trials that everyone has pretty much lost interest in and want to finish as soon as they can so they can cap and move on toward something that will put their gear to better use. Purposefully prolonging a run that I KNOW I can shorten if I DPS is, to me, disrespectful, specially in places like expert roulette dungeons where you can basically afk on auto follow and your fairy will solo heal everything.
2) Unlike it has been mentioned in this thread in previous comments, CS and DPSing is NOT meant only for solo content. If this were the case, they could disable CS in dungeons, LIKE THEY DO IN PVP. Now, this does not mean you're obligated to DPS, but people have a right to be upset if they're trying their best and suddenly someone using half their toolkit appears.
3) No one expects a DPS to heal, simply because they don't have such skills in their toolkit and the stats to support it. Take SMN for example, they do have physick - I'm not going to expect a SMN to use it though, not with all that INT. They DO have other utility skills though, and those yes, I do expect them to be used by the SMN - for example, rezzing your healerswhen they're both down and a wipe is imminent.
4) This being an MMO, you're inevitably going to meet players who agree and others who disagree with you. Your idea of fun is not an invalid one, but you can't expect it to be accepted by everyone else.
Also, you mentioned DPSing as healer makes you uncomfortable - this to me sounds like you've tried and had a bad experience, I can only say that literally every healer who stance dances has had their wipes and "trial and error" phases :P

A healer has 50 levels to practice switching stances less if you are a Whm. Yes you are right a healer shouldn't be made to, but the healer should be striving to whilst levelling and capable of it come 60.Yes I think most healers that enjoy dps as well like cs, and the point you want to dps as well is a valid one, and although I would never want anyone not to have fun, there are some healers that are not comfortable with dps, but are being made to, but no one is making dps heal and maybe if that was the case there would be many more people not enjoying the game any more.
