FoF increases Physical damage dealt. It doesn't effect Clemency. Berserk effects Equilibrium because Berserk is a buff to attack power.
Considering they buffed the enmity bonus on all tank stances at the same time, it wasn't a nerf in this category...and considering you could equip full VIT for a slight reduced damage but a huge buff in Max HP, it sure wasn't a nerf on tanking efficiency.
And they also buffed Savage Blade so that you would need less RoH to keep enmity, indirectly buffing PLD DPS in real situations.
As for the future, yes, it's very simple, and very clever. We'll have new actions from 60 to 70. They just need to give PLD and DRK slighty more useful and/or powerful actions without greatly touching everything below 60. And since you wouldn't know what tanks should have received were they already balanced, you can't complain that WAR is "nerfed" for Stormblood.
Berserk would increase it, as it does Equilibrium and Second Wind, since it increases attack power. Fight or Flight, however, does not increase attack power—only damage dealt (adds a .3x modifier to damage calculations, much like Maim or Raging Blows, but larger)—and therefore does not.
Recommendation: if you have a "simple test" you can run, you may wish to run it before claiming, essentially, tool-tip inaccuracy and/or other's misinformedness?
trust me ive tried everything with clemency. Need a warrior, scholar, dragoon, and monk to hit those supa high crits on the warrior for fun.Berserk would increase it, as it does Equilibrium and Second Wind, since it increases attack power. Thats a given, when theyre balanced. PLD losing most of its cross class, whether useful or not, you dont think a few skills might fill those gaps in ala clemency(replacing Cure)? As for the future, yes, it's very simple, and very clever. pld should get comparable aoe, and then all 3 need to be given a bit of synergy to make sure that x/x isnt always the best setup because utility.higher damage overall. If PLD doesnt need the higher damage, it should be able to assist a higher damage through something, and balance between synergy between the three, same for the healers. Tanks competing with Tanks when they should be a unit in raids regardless
It still bugs me that the only difference between the two at laucnh applies on Second Wind which is not even a WAR skill.
We don't know exactly what they'll do with the role skills...but if they replace the cross skills with new ones, it will give more options to balance jobs without touching existing skills.
This requires only one new skill
I fully agree and I hope they'll finally balance tanks that way..
