Are minor cosmetic updates that will generally be covered up by gear anyway really more important than numerous new areas, reworked actions and UIs across all pre-existing classes, and presumably many more content updates to be revealed over the next few months?

I mean if you're the type who doesn't like any of that kind of content, then... I really question why you've stayed this long.

New areas are nice... for the first 4 times you are there. Reworked actions? They haven't said anything nor will they until May. And the content updates? It's a repeat of what they've done over the last 4 years.

I mean, yeah, it came up with Krile outfit which was going to be "very very expensive to make." That honestly agitated me the most because it sounded like they were originally going to say no, but then they said "wellllll, only if you PROMISE to purchase it, lol!!!! " and then basically confirmed another cash grab. Yes, I think it's perfectly in context. If an outfit is expensive to make and they basically said "yeah we'll do it if you give us your money" which is a BLATANT cash grab, why is the answer just flat out no when it comes to expanded character creations, better server capacities and crap that actually matters and benefits EVERYBODY? I couldn't care less about a Krile outfit; tell me you're upgrading your Pentium II servers and will stop with the "lol server limitations" garbage.

It's not the server capacity on SEs end that is the main issue (although they do appear to be having stability problems lately), it is the reliability of the internet providers and the data throughput to the users systems.

That's what they are claiming limits the ability to provide more character customization. Not the fact that more data needs to be stored and processed client or server side but that the end to end network performance (particularly with internet providers who throttle certain types of traffic).

I understand that, but they have been using server excuses since ARR, especially when it comes to a wardrobe-type system for glamours and other QoL stuff, including housing, etc. I'm using it as more of an ends to a means, because the meme of "lol server limitations" or "lol stability" will be the end of this game if they don't change it and soon.

Le fait est que, techniquement, quand tu "équipes" quelque chose, ce quelque chose prend la place de la partie du "corps" de ton personnage. Ça ne crée pas pour autant une sorte de vide comme un trou noir (comme s'il y avait le fantôme de tes proportions piégé à l'intérieur... ?) ; cela remplace juste ce qu'il y avait en-dessous. C'est déjà le cas à l'heure actuelle avec les poitrines des personnages féminins en jeu par exemple, pourtant on a aucune texture étirée, et encore moins de trou béant sous le menton.

Imagine ton personnage torse-nu. Tu lui ajoutes une veste. Cette veste qui te semble au-dessus de ton torse et de tes bras a en fait pris la place de ce qu'il devrait y avoir en-dessous, tout en respectant les proportions déjà existantes. C'est d'ailleurs aussi pourquoi on a souvent l'intérieur des manches "pleines" et qui touchent les poignets par exemple, car sans ça cela prendrait trop de ressources pour rien, ferait ramer le jeu (surtout en tant que MMO), mais aussi créerait de gros clipping bien dégueulasses. Et c'est ainsi que tout les jeux vidéo fonctionnent, et FFXIV n'y échappe pas. Donc non, ajouter un butt slider ne créera en aucun cas les soucis que tu avances, exagérés ou non.

Cela étant dit, maintenant avant de vouloir donner ton avis en jouant la carte du sarcasme, essaye au moins de nous donner l'impression de comprendre de quoi tu parles. But yeah i was just trying to get some likes, you kwow, to improve my lifestyle.

This was to imply an exaggerated response for what will likely come from adding butt sliders. (Clipping issues, which was the reasoning from Square-Enix as to why it wasn't introduced/larger butts were removed, themselves.)
