    It seems I cannot purchase from the Square Enix Website.

    This is because it connects to the old SE Accounts - on which my email address is no longer valid. There seems to be no way to change that.

    The only help I can find relates to the new SE Accounts, for which the email address is correct.

    Catch22 - the only one I can change is the one that does not need changing. The one that needs changing does not let me change it.

    I just had the same problem. I did find out that if you copy and paste from the e-mail, it will not validate. You have to actually type the code into the box. I used the num pad for the numbers. Not sure if that matters, but you never know.

    What worked for me:

    1. I did not get an email with the code. I logged into my Order Status on the SE Store and clicked "Receive Activation Code".

    2. I logged in at redeem.finalfantasyxiv.com/na and entered my code. I then chose my platform, confirmed my platform and was given my Early Access Code.

    3. I then logged into Mog Station and entered the Early Access code under the "Pre Order Early Access Code" tab. I copied and pasted it from the previous screen and it worked just fine.

    I've followed all the instructions to the letter and have received my early access code, but Mogstation refuses to accept it, telling me it's invalid. I'm seeing plenty of other people who are redeeming their codes and seeing it take effect, so I'm starting to get worried about this.

    Yeah I'm having the same problem. Copy/paste my Early Access code won't work, and at almost a week now Mog Station is still reading it as invalid.

    Sorry, I was rushing a bit. I meant to say I had- I manually typed it in first, I tried copy/pasting, I tried doing it with my phone as well. No dice! I'm starting to get a little worried about it now, since I'm the only one in my FC who hasn't been able to redeem it.

    I think I'm the only one who preordered the Collector's Edition too though... I can't imagine that would make a difference, but who knows?

    So it just came to my attention that APPARENTLY if you've purchased the base game on Steam, Early Access codes you get for ordering directly from Square may be different and may not work.

    I bought the game on Steam a year ago, and this MAY mean that Steam users are unable to purchase the PC Collector's Edition without making a new service account. This might explain some things for anyone having trouble, meanwhile I've got a conversation with support to see if I can get this sorted out.


    EDIT: Confirmed this is the case, at least for me. I'm working with Customer Support to try and fix this. Thankfully I've got the PS4 version to upgrade as well, and I can preorder via Steam, but I'm sorry for any other Steam users who made this mistake.

    Yes if you bought the game on Steam, you must buy all expansions on Steam, this was the same with Heavensward and does actually say this on the store page when purchasing Stormblood. Hope you can get it refunded okay!

    Yeah, the SE Store page does specifically say it right underneath the spot where you choose your platform/version and is highlighted in red:

    "Notice: This product is not compatible with the Steam version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. If you’ve purchased FFXIV: A Realm Reborn on Steam, then you must also purchase FFXIV: Stormblood on Steam to upgrade your existing account."
