If its 50% Ala Mhigo and 50% Othard, I'd be okay with that. Change things up a little ^^
It would make sense that we would all unite against the empire. It is what it is I guess. My hype is all but gone...but meh. Whatever XD

Personally am a bit worried about this, just because of the fact that while Othard was kept under wraps up until now, we already know much more about the areas we'll be visiting there in much more detail than anything we've yet been shown about Gyr Albania.
So this has given me the unfortunate fear that ONE of these two areas will be disappointing. I just don't know if it'll be the one we've been shown little of (because there's actually little to it) or the one we've been shown lots of (leaving nothing left to be surprising).

From what I took away from the keynote, the Othard areas are like 61-65, so it makes sense they are done first, where as Ala Mhigo is 65+and they are probably still working on it.
I suspect we will start with one initial blow to ala mhigo, realizing we are too weak, only to go to Othard and get strength (lvl up) and then return to where to started and dealing the finishing blow.
What is in Doma that would help? Its in much the same state as Ala Mhigo and even further away from our existing powerbase.
They said we will start in Rhalgr's Reach so clearly we will at least begin in Ala Mhigo.
Personally I don't give a rats about Ala Mhigo.. The idea of Doma, a oriental themed region with Samurai, and Japanese/Chinese/Mongolian houses and castles.. That is far more up my alley than a bunch of shirtless hunky dudes in a desert.
I'm happy we are getting both.
It's a bait and switch if you were expecting just Ala Mhigo. God forbid you get more for your money lol??
Sorta nitpicking here, but it's more of a mountainous region, not a desert.
Aside from that, I'm mostly looking forward to seeing the Garlean architecture that was talked about in one of the previous fan fests.
We share a common enemy and have been working with Othardans... ians?... already. Either way, what else would you expect? They can certainly continue to add zones to Eorzea, but it's basically an inevitability that we'll push outward eventually if the game lasts long enough.
We must unite against our common enemy the Ala Migan People's front!
