Because people want to be lazy and they can get away with pushing 1 2 3 in a group setting on dps 90% of the time.

This, plus tanks and healers get blamed every single time something goes wrong. So, that feeds into the whole people don't want to take responsibility, because it's just easier to blame someone else.

Yeah, tanking is stressful. I'm leveling my tanks through daily hunt bills, beast tribes, challenge logs, and fates lol.
I'm not trying to be stressed. I more than likely would not have had any interest in Samurai if it was a tank.

I can't go for this cheap throwaway answer, particularly when it comes from a tank. Speaking for myself, I do all I can to put out as much damage as needed on whichever DPS job I choose. The DPS role has the same amount of pressure and responsibility as Tank & Healer, contrary to what's being sold in this forum or others.

Ok, then how bout when I'm on DRG? MNK? BRD? Can I still say 90% of dps are lazy and press 1 2 3?I can't go for this cheap throwaway answer, particularly when it comes from a tank. Speaking for myself, I do all I can to put out as much damage as needed on whichever DPS job I choose. I've seen people do less DPS than their auto attack is capable of....
I tank because Iam the only one in my group of friends who is 100% comfortable doing it, yet that somehow invalidates my opinion on how poor DPS gets in DF?

yeah, but a 123 tank cant really hold hate against groups, ive seen it, and its awful. a 123 dps just makes the run go slower, and no one ever calls them out on it because "you use a parser, im gonna report you"
A friend of mine had a nin in a lvl 50 roulette do 35 dps over the course of the entire dungeon. THIRTY FIVE DPS. I can auto attack and do more, on PLD.

Using a parser isn't reportable. Using a parser to make yourself feel 1337 and telling everyone "Look at my numbers noobs! Git Gud! You all suck!" IS reportable.

My point is there are ways to "help," or try to help, someone that may not be performing up to par. Just telling someone "my parser shows you're only doing 100 dps....do better" doesn't help anything.....and everybody here knows that if parsers were ever allowed "officially" that is exactly what would happen.
edit: you can call someone out and not have to say anything about using a parser
