Impossible to tell if someone's AFK or using /gpose

I don't disagree with some of what you're saying. However, I believe the Camera Mode icon should indicate that someone is actively taking pictures and most likely will be available within the next 5-10 minutes.

This is where you are wrong. The actual situation is they could be available anywhere from 5 minutes to 5+ hours exactly like the afk indicator. Even if they change it, since it is is always possible to manuallybset your icon to never display either icon if you want. The only difference is your perception of what the icon means.
