It's not that the question is ignored, it's that the answer continuously gets ignored or given the "You can't prove that!"-treatment of denial:
Assuming the translation of Yoshida during live letter XXXIII is correct (Which is still pending confirmation or disconfirmation), no other content in the game, including Frontlines, has or had such a high density of toxicity in chat as Feast.

As such, it's not a double standard nor has it ever been. It's always been one standard on tolerance thresholds. Feast passed that threshold, the rest of the game didn't - an achievement in its own right.

You know what really is a double standard? Putting the chat restriction in any modes without the high density of toxicity - Light Party and Fold for sure, 8vs8 debatable. "That" is an actual double standard. That's something to legitimately get outraged about. People just don't, because it doesn't suit their goals to get chat back for Solo-Ranked, as it would be admitting Ranked to be the main issue, which people don't want - No amount nor quality of argument can convince a man to go against their motivation. It's the joyous futility of forum discussions.
