PvP gear frowned upon outside of PvP. Why?

The weekly cap has been lifted on the i250 Alexander: Creator gear (save for the weapon token), so why not use that instead?

You have to win the tokens rolls against 7 others for creator gear. For Garo gear, you are guaranteed to get it with enough wolf marks.

You have to be i230 to do Creator, and you have to have done Gordias and Midas. PVP's only requirement is to be i150. i150 is very easy to get for someone just starting out at level 60. White vendor gear is i150.

The Garo event will only be around 6+ months. Creator will always be here. Not many want to go do Creator just to increase the item level on alt classes they don't play often, but they might do frontlines for the mount and then use the wolf marks to boost alt job item levels as a bonus.

Try to complete a full set with another 7 people rolling for the same items as you do, and then tell me how much time you wasted. Also roll 1 every time ^
Really, the "go do Alex for good gear" isn't worth the time nor the effort, since you can spend weeks for one piece. If SE could add books aswell to the normal mode then, that would be a viable option.

The new Garo gear is nice to gear classes that just hit 60, since you have an acceptable ilvl to do the new dungeons and get better gear for them.

The 235 gear is "okay" for the most part I had a friend who's new to the game grind PvP gear because the ques were faster, got scrip out of it too, and started getting the Garo mounts. They're personally enjoying it too and did some of the dungeons that they had the ilvl for because the wall was really terrible and didn't wanna run the dungeons they had access to (Neverreap, ARF specifically).

Now with them being full ilvl 235 they've started buying actual gear and saved up for their 2nd week to get their 260 weapon at the beginning of next as well as filling the necessary gear to get accuracy for Soph EX and Alex normal. You don't need accuracy for expert dungeons or any of the 60 the reason you need it is for EX trials/raids such as Alex Normal and the 24 mans, outside of that you don't need any so I don't get why people are complaining.

SE designed the gear wall when someone who hits 60 time consuming and I find PvP alleviates the RNG in these dungeons and ARF which drops nothing, yes it gives Lore but who wants to run these dungeons over and over again and get ilvl 160 gear or nothing from Neverreap/Fractal because of the drops. PvP is the flexible choice for a new comer as the rewards are good and it revitalizes the PvP community for new players to see if they like it or not.

Regarding Alex normal which people say that it rains from the sky, you still have to fight 7 other people and RNG can screw you out of all that gear which is really annoying for a new player.

If the PVP gear is the best you have, there is no reason you shouldn't use it and replace it as you get new stuff.

Use it to bridge your gap. It has no accuracy so thats why its frowned upon.

Because you can farm Alexander normal now freely. Ideally, you should only really use PvP gear to springboard yourself into getting more Prototype gear. It's generally not that big a deal though, especially if you have only a few lower tier pieces.

"Because it can be hard to win rolls" is a ridiculous reason to not farm Alex gear if you want to bring your alts up to par. Is i235 gear "enough"? Yeah, I suppose. But 15 ilvls is a huge difference and not bothering to collect the gear just because you may not win rolls all the time is mindboggling logic.

PvP gear is a good and fast way to gear, not the best. You can make a whole set in no time, not like Alex, try to collect all the stuff for a full set and then tell us how much time did you waste doing a content for nothing.

Never said Alexander should be completely ignored, I simply gave you the reason why the i235 gear can be used. Especially since your post made it sound like it takes absolutely no time to obtain the Alexander gear (which is incorrect, unless you roll 99s all the time).
