No really. I could settle with a girl or guy. What makes it hard is the personality of the person. So many weird girls and so many wacko guys. It is so hard to find a normal person online.

Eh? Most of them were real women who were just having issues to know what they really want so I stand correctly. When I said guys and girls, I meant both genders. I was not talking about women playing as male characters or men playing as female characters. I was referring to their physical as well as to their gender identity.

@Arutan some people, I met thru discor who were from this online game, got some real problems in real life that instead of trying to look for help and to find a way to be healthy, they decided to forget about their problems that were literally consuming them. Instead they just play a video game or online games to feel better while the problem is still present and forever awaiting to be solved by them. They decided to abandon any hopes and let others aeound their lives to just deal with the consequences of an unhealthy and poor decision.That is what I was referring to as out of the spectrum of normal range.

I just play online games and console games to relax and just play. I don't look for a way to literally become someone else. If I find other people who enjoy to do that cool, we can totally hang out and play the game together, I meant a few, and it is cool.

I was referring to the overwhelming amount of males pretending to be females on this game, as in actively trying to deceive others to believe they are girls. The same is true vice versa; some girls have deceived guys to think that they are male, particularly in the gay community. It's a problem on this game, and it goes hand-in-hand with the increasing number of people like the ones you referenced. This is my first MMO, so it may be just a culture shock for me. Regardless, I'm surprised this community isn't the focus of some psychological study, especially in the field of cyberpsychology. I digress, this is a thread for in-game EB ceremonies; however, it's being used as more of a relationship finder, which it is not.

It is not, but the word -marriage- is a concept that means be with someone more than friendship. If we have that in mind, it is natural strangers will want an open door to a chance to happen that. This misunderstanding would not happen if it were between friends. That is hard to find for people want to have a privacy of simple things that there shouldn't be like gender, age, likes and dislikes, etc.

I found out that a lot of people have a lot of trouble to communicate. You can contact someone and talk after awhile. You would expect the same but it be 1-2-3 weeks after the last conversation, and your new friend(s) never speak to you because they were 1) shy, 2) they were waiting the other to contact them first -again-, 3) they just moved on because the other person just didn't contact them, 4) get distracted pretty easily, and more more factors. This is not just a problem with online connection but with people you meet in school or work. I have classmates who I might call them friends, but they are not really. We talk, joke in class but when txting one another my classmates can take a couple of hours to reply or just txt me back the following day. We are "friends" in our environment, but we are just aquantance outside of it.

In my time playing this game, never once did I see a male or female trying to be something they weren't. And personally, I know more females and have more female friends than males. If guys are faking being a girl, I'm sure it's a desperate attempt to get a girl mostly not another guy. Because I have heard of in this thread only, guys pretending to be girls to attract lesbians. And guys on female characters clearly reading that this girl wants girls but still saying "Hey we can meet". Which is bad. I think the concept of this thread can attract all kinds of nasties.

I'd say you'd have better chances with some random DF girl or FC girl. Because random girl #8,479 who isn't paying you any mind most likely has nothing to hide from you.

While my overall personality is sweet and soft, even a bit girly at times, i am still a complex human being with a variety of emotions and moods, and not every day will be sunshine, smiles and cutesy. >w< I feel i need to point this out due to past encounters, when this apparently came as a surprise :3

I would also like to point out that since i am a full fledged adult, i would rather avoid pairing up with people under the age of 21.

This is not because i have any secondary intention but because i find that i relate much better to people closer to my own age and stage in life, as it is natural.

@Magic-Amal Agreed with the desperate attempts, but your first sentence baffles me because there are a lot of transgender people on this game, PARTICULARLY males who want to be females BUT they are... attracted to females? Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just something I've never ever encountered in all my years of online gaming until now, and there's a lot of them on FFXIV.
