Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

I just guess I'm old fashion , I do case manager work at a homeless shelter and I cut no slack, I dont believe in hand outs if you arent doing anything for yourself. So I just have the same view point, about the game if someone wants to be a millionaire they put in the work to get its no easy way around it.

But on here outside of the mentor mount everything is accessible for players that dont even try , and Id never tell anyone not to try and expect something in return. Its not about the mount are whatever being cool, its the steps toward how you got it , the birds are cool my friends have birds in the game Its just another item. But I respect my friends are anyone else riding a bird now because chances are they earned it from quing up and putting in the work. I have no respect for anyone buying a clear and being phony and a fraud but I guess thats just me.

The Mentor mount doesn't always take as much work/effort as you think. There are easy ways to get that too that take zero effort.

Bismarck, Ravana and even Thordan birds aren't very hard to get anymore.

If you have friends that are good at the game, nothing is hard to get.

The hard part is getting a good group together.

Thats totally incorrect you def havent been reading what I said higher itlvl is nothing compared to , ten levels over and triple damage you must of been reading other peoples post in here cause nerfs are not unsync runs. So def not by my gauge as intended just simply means level sync, to where you have some what of a challenge unsync is only a challenge if you are soloing the content. Honestly, who cares? Is it hurting your own progression in any shape or form? Are you unable to play the game because someone else plays or chooses to do so differently? No? Then stop trying to push your own biased agenda on what you 'think' is correct. This game caters to all types of players, so least you as a player yourself can do, is simply disagree, but yet understand there is more than just one way to play, and not make excuses as to why you 'think' they shouldn't deserve something, no matter how dated it is.

I do apologize I dont call people names but its very surprising how many people here support the buying of clears. And dont believe that there are levels to wat one should be able to obtain based on their skill level in the game.

Thats just the competive nature of a game people that are more competitive dont need to be in the same category with earnings of people who dont. And this whole time Ive included myself in this , I know its content in the game I may never clear instead of thinkin I deserve it I will try and if I fail then it wasnt meant for me its just disgusting that others feel like they need things that is beyond their reach its just pure entitlement.

And nerfed content is not the samething you keep saying this but its just a lie, go que up for any extreme primal any of them ten times unsync and then ten times sync and see the different. IF you dont see a difference then u are clearly just never gona see it. Ahhh... So this is the root of this entire thread... Just so we're clear on this, FFXIV is not fashioned as a competitive game. It is fashioned as a cooperative game. The point of playing is to help other people achieve goals, not beat other people out to things. It's the community, or rather specific parts of the community, that have taken what are supposed to be cooperative play components and turned them into competition.

Let us be clear... Your concept that you are competing with anyone else for things in this game is entirely self established, it is your choice to view it in that way and feel the way you do about it. This does not mean, however, that the rest of the player base is obligated to feel the same way. Sorry to say, but you're never going to change the opinions of people who don't see the game the way you apparently do on this.

As for that lil subtle snub to saying people buying clears buy gil. Lol, that's going to be between the person buying and SE doing the investigation, all you'll get is someone with a simple (removed) tag as a username if you are that desperate/paranoid. Sides, not that hard to make gil, not by a long shot.

I want the A12S mount. Why? I think a Lalafell hanging off of it is hilarious. Will I raid for it? No. I do not find raiding enjoyable at this time. Will I buy a clear to get it? No. My gil has better use elsewhere. Will I judge people who would? No. It isn't any of my business. Will I eventually get it? Yes. How? Unsync, probably. Does that make me less of a player? No. A coward? No. A player with other priorities? Yes.
