Our equipment slots on the character window don't have the "Try On" option, so I can't bring up the Fitting Room at all from there. That was my request, to add the "Try On" option to the context menu on pieces we're wearing.
But you can do that by trying on pieces of gear after you've hit the "Show all gear" option, I don't see the issue here, you are fully capable of viewing any combination of gear barring the dungeon exclusives, and imo, those aren't much to look at anyway, and often have identical counterparts in the market board.

Example: Coliseum Subligar has the light steel subligar, the latter of which is dyeable
