Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

OP, do you realize how elitist you sound? You're basically saying, "You don't deserve something because you didn't do it when it was hard!" Does that mean people who are trying to get older Alexander Savage clears don't deserve their mounts and titles because they didn't do Gordias and Midas before the nerfs?

Im not an elitist at all I def dont claim to be a top tier player, but fine if you want to wait right now and your not currently tryin to get mounts are farm birds etc and you dont want to do the instance thats fine.

But when you do finally decide to do it and the only way you ever did it is the easiest way possible, your reward should be one thing and thats called a check mark by cleared duty. That you cleared the content that you saw the beginning and ending of the cutscenes and sure have that old gear for glamour are that music scroll but the mounts should not be given period if the only way you did it was this way. Its different if someone has been farming and they just cant get the mount but they already beat the content ten times over sure you deserve that mount the rng was agaisnt you.

But if you buying clears sitting out on purpose, then your reward is that you got the check mark of complete and that should be good enough thats not elite thats just not wanting a hand out like I said its plenty of mounts and other items that you can get why do you want the top tier stuff if ur not top tier.

Actually it doesn't because I spent my time clearing content sync waiting hours for duty finder primals on the old content so I could do it the correct way and get clears like everyone else did. I didnt want a cake walk I didnt want it easy even if that meant not catching up to everyone else in the game. I am ten quest away until I will be at the end of hw and the only reason Im there now is because I do not want to be forced into a cycle of cake walk content that is unsync because stuffs old.

The only reason I progress is because I want to do things the right way not because Im elite I am far from it , because it was the original intended method of doing it , so I have four or five months to get all my sync clears before it goes to trash when the next expansion hits. Im not going around bragging about my clears I know nobody else cares Im not tooting my horn about my commendations, If its content in the game I want to do it , as it was intended, I would ask nothing less from any other game. So I actually do have an argument because i still have time to do the content, and will do it I may not be up to par for savage, and the difference in me and other players is I can accept that, I dont need to buy a clear I will just simply accept that the content is to hard for me and be ok with that( why is this a bad thing). Thats the problem with the game this is a video game but there doesnt have to be equality or sharing.

Those who do more deserve more reward just like a winning teams in sports deserve to go to the playoffs if they are simply better than others, you dont hear players that didnt make the playoffs asking for their title ring too because life doesnt work like that and this game shouldn't either. Its nothing wrong with circumstances or just simply not being good at something , and not reaping the same benefits as those who have those two things in order. If you dont have time to be a raider then get other rewards that arent raid related dont expect to get the same stuff that people who play the best get, if you just simply dont make the cut then accept the loss and move on to something else. Thats what the problem Im seeing is just because people pay they believe that skill in a skilled base game shouldnt matter with things you can and cant achieve.

To your point nerfs are not the same thing as running content ten levels over , ilvl being 40 points different is in no way shape are form the same as having triple hp, and triple damage there is a huge difference. Nerfs are nothing I dont know why people act like its a big deal nerfs make things less challenging but it doesnt totally eleminate the challenge. Being ten levels higher and doing triple damage does however.

It's a Metaphor in Balmung there are plenty of call outs, stopped somewhat since new updates, stop for a bit and think about it, no jobs of crafts, or gathering, leveled, very few jobs pass 30 and sprout...paying millions of gill. would you think it may just may be RTM?
