I dunno, I guess we'll see. But if Yoshi-P understands the MMO market in its current state (and his actions thus far have demonstrated that he does), he should know that old-school style grinding simply isn't what most people want in a modern MMO.

Job progression won't be xp-based. Jobs will start off at level 30 (when they can be unlocked) and will progress through quests to unlock new skills/abilities, etc.

Classes will still progress through leveling, as we do now.

OP is fail, the only thing your complaining about are FEATURES.
PVP is a feature, battlegrounds is CONTENT
Party search from 11 is a FEATURE, xp parties are content.
Every feature from every MMO should be ported into ffxiv for convienence (except maybe addons that do jobs for people)
Massive PVE is a feature, Dynamis is CONTENT.
Get your freaking head right man, your practically saying you won't play final fantasy 10 just because it has a story like final fantasy 9 did. ITS A FREAKING FEATURE JEEZUS!

There is a big difference between a game FEATURE and game CONTENT. FF is making hard challenges and more epic battles all the time, granted we have no NM's in the game that would compare to absolute virtue pre 75+ patch yet but they will get there with the difficulty levels. Although right now I will agree this game needs WAY more status dependancy, as in without major buffs and debuffs active at the same time your going down....... right now most of the stuff can be killed without debuffing....and without buffing. *I think its time we got some haste dont u?" and an increase in mob difficulty.......

But for c sakes...... increase the time lasted on some of these buffs debuffs, they are so short mages almost dont even like casting them , its tedious at this stage, not strategically engaging.

So let's say the OP is correct in that 2.0 is going to be a wow ripoff. Wouldn't I be better off playing WoW or maybe SWTOR instead? Or maybe rift?
