Questions regarding Stormblood Pre-orders or Collector's Edition

Question I see no one has asked yet!

When will we be able to enter in the code we get for pre-ordering? I know the items won't likely be delivered until early access but it'd be nice to be able to enter the code now. (I keep getting Invalid code)

You should have received an email with a link to a redemption website. After entering the pre-order code there you'll be able to confirm the platform that you want to have early access on. You'll need to click the confirm button twice to ensure the platform you chose is the one you really want. After entering that you should get a pre-order bonus confirmation page and a message indicating that the code to enter in Mog Station will be sent starting February 2017. The pre-order code is not meant for Mog Station.

Though since they specified that as being true specifically of the NA version, maybe those with EU accounts could get CE from other retailers. Don't know for certain about that, though.

The physical collector’s edition of Stormblood is exclusive to the Square Enix Online Store in Europe too.

Was answered in first post, Square Enix Online Store exclusive in EU as well.

Although the OP mentioned there will be a Collector's Edition upgrade option again, it didn't list a price for that. Am I right in assuming that, as with ARR & HW, it will be equal to the cost difference between the regular edition and the CE Digital Download (so cost neutral whether you get the in-game CE bonuses initially or later)?

Looking at the information for the Stormblood preorder on the PSN, I saw a line that reads: "Online multiplayer requires a Playstation PLus membership."


Is this a goof on Sony's part or is this a change in policy for PS4 users? Please clarify.

Not that I see, that's why I think it was a goof on Sony's part. But some official clarification would be nice.

Was answered in first post, Square Enix Online Store exclusive in EU as well.

The Collector's Edition was mentioned as being an SE Store exclusive in NA.
The physical Collector's Edition was mentioned as being an SE Store exclusive in EU.

Maybe that's a real difference, or maybe it was just a matter of mentioning the physical version because that's the one that had been asked about. (The post I was replying to was talking about the Digital Collector's Edition, though.)

Are Square-Enix and Steam going to collectively opt to set prices almost 50% above the conversion rate in certain countries that can't afford it? *cough* Brazil *cough*

I find it specially funny that when this issue escalates at Steam, they say it's your fault. So go ahead and say it is their fault, instead of at least asking nicely.

I would start looking at why your local govt. imposes large levies/taxes on digital items rather than blaming SE/Steam for something outside of their control

This appears only to be the Digitial Download Pages for the release so I'm assuming it's still going to be another supplier that deals with the Physical Collector's Edition?

Also none of the Banners for the Australia Website work correctly, they link directly back to the home page instead of the Pre-Order pages.

I'm basing this on the assumption that the FFXV UCE was $250USD and when EB Australia had copies they charged about $450AUD for it.

The PlayStation Plus mention is there due to the store template, where online games automatically mention that PlayStation Plus is required. We'll work with Sony to get this updated.

PlayStation Plus is not required for FINAL FANTASY XIV.
