Collectors edition price revelead

At least if I was recalling the ARR CE correctly, people will want to make sure the picture of the CE they are looking at is specifically for their region, like on stream for ARR they showed off Japan's CE and then there were micro differences for the other region's which they did prepare photos for later but you had to read and be sure you were looking at "your" region's CE (basically I think it came down to Japan's was better packaged (better sleeves, box, and stuff), it's been a while though lol).

Yep, that's the one. Cheap soft plastic and a figure that doesn't even goes right on its stand. On mine, the paint is even runny on some parts.
There's quite a lot of owners feedback on it, and the vast majority was disappointed. That being said, the 130 bucks price tag wasn't too expensive so people didn't called it a rip-off. If it was 200 bucks, then it'd have been without a doubt.
This is why I'm very "careful" on the Stormblood figure. Especially since Zenos yae Galvus isn't really a favorite of mine... and it looks like I'm not the only one.

Also, yeah, you're right, there was some differences between the boxes themselves from region to region. For instance, the annonced Heavensward CE (on stream) had a box opening on the side with two panels being deployed, as well as a steelcase for the bluray. In Europe, no steelcase, just a cheap cardboard CD sleeve, and a overall box that opens by taking off the top part. Even the artwork on the box itself was different.

So, yeah... I wasn't particularly impressed by Heavensward's collector edition, but it was "okay-ish" for its price. Which is why the Stormblood one, priced 70 bucks more is a big no for me, unless something drastically changed from the Heavensward's one (but it doesn't appear to be the case).

Oh yeah! I remember that one now, I LOVE steelcases and when I heard that I felt a lot better that I didn't buy it. Dark Souls 2 had a special pre-order event where you got the steelcase and a steel card for the price of the game normally (special edition at price of normal). I even bought it and had it shipped cross the seas, paying currency exchange (EU -> US), and all just to get it (funnily enough still cheaper than what people were trying to sell here). Felt like I had a heart of gold.. ;3. A lot of fan points from that.

It's good to bring these up for prospective buyers, not that I'm trying to dissuade anyone - absolutely not! (I think it's cool to collect stuff) Just to keep expectations reasonable so you're still happy with your purchase. Buyers remorse is awful lol.
