I dont see any reason that would require such a system. We have the forums, even more so the PF. I dont understand why the game would have to do all the match making for us - specially in a context like this when it isnt really about the "content" itself but more about doing it with someone whos in some way meaningful to you - I dont see why its the devs/games job to find someone like that for you...

Actually the system can be used for fun. (Special Emotes, Achievements, title, etc) But you don't have to do it if it bothers you.

So a system that cuts off rewards from everyone who has already done EB, those who have partners already, and those who don't want to be paired with random strangers for something? Why do people from Balmung keep making us all look bad x.x

NO..just NO...you want to spend time doing your rp bullshit and marriying and warever its your problem, not of us want to do that...And most would feel obligated to becase of you know, rewards. For people who realy want that however and know their way around programing, why not create like a 'tinder website' that match you with people from your server? would be much better than implementing it on the actual game.

(there are some who would literaly sarifice virgins if it meant they could get glamour pieces, no matter how ugly those are, yokai watch event proved us that)

Oh if that's your issue then we can have a system without these rewards that make it unfair to those who do EB.

The game has already went to the extent of adding RP tags, icons and even marriage.

It wont hinder my gameplay, I just think it defeats the purpose of the EB-system. Its not supposed to be "just another thing you queue up for in DF".

They added marriage because people requested it as something they'd like to do with a friend, or even their real life partner (or probably for extended rp-purpose, dont know). Turning this into a dating-app ... nah, not interested.
But I guess by now I shouldnt be surprised anymore that people want the game to do everything for them - including finding a partner...

Oh and: dont add titles and achievements to it, please - This should be a quest you do for the quest itself or for each other... not for a shiny new title. Getting married should be reward enough itself. (...even though - thinking about achievements like "get married to three different people" and "get married to something else but a catgirl" is making me giggle right now)

In what way and form would the EB system be defeated? This is just an alternative step towards the EB system. Could you provide some clarification please so I can understand where you're coming from?
