Out of curiosity what would yall think of FFXIV having a match making system to pair up two partners to be potential EB lovers? [When I mean potential, you'll just receive a "hook up status" and if you get along you can advanced into "lovers" till you wish to finally EB]

As I understand it this would randomly put a hook up status on anyone who frequently played with the same person(s), regardless of whether or not they RP or what gender/orientation they are. How about no.

Of course the matching would revolved around the questions answered and the preference listed (Time zone/Race/Age(?)/Etc).

Now we're basing this off the same concept dating sites revolve around. What genre was this game again?

Even odd ball questions such as:
"Ser Ayermic X Estinien or Sidurgu X Estinien or Ser Ayermic X Sidurgu" (Don't take this seriously. lawl)

Seriously taken or not, questions based on what look like fanfic pairings. Are you serious?

I'd like to take the chance to apologize on behalf of Balmung players everywhere, I swear to you we're not all like this. Normally we do a pretty good job of keeping them contained in the Quicksand, but it looks like one escaped.

Based on your logic you just presented. More than half the general population are guys playing half naked Glamour girls does that mean the game were playing is made for Echi fans?

We have the golden saucer which contains things like Gambling, Suggestive Lottery, and Triple Triad. Does this mean, we are pushing the game towards Vegas players?

Did i forget to mention the countless Bars, booze, taverns, and even the furniture's that promote alcohol behavior are all over the game?

I ask you, did we turn into a dating MMO when the marriage system was introduced?

Easy, don't do the match making system if it doesn't interest you. And if you do, do it. Don't complain about getting a random person you don't like just because you blatantly rejected the notion of giving us the option to differentiate in the type of individuals who we would be better off with.

In all the system is mainly for fun, and this "hook up" trend is quite common actually in a lot of MMRORPG's. Especially the one's originating from Japan and South Korea.


You can also argue our NA server is not interested in such a system, but I beg to differ. The only reason why I bothered making a thread like this is because of the constant views and post of different people trying the marriage partner thread out. The interest is there.


And may I also add, North America is not the only country playing Final Fantasy XIV. If you go on the Asian forums they have just as much or more attention in threads that were designed to match up players.
