Just 2 days ago, I go into an 8v8 match, and someone new there speaks up and says they're new. Then asks for advice. I was already typing some general tips based on my experience as he asked, and just when he thought no one would answer, I gave him my quick rundown. I specifically told them to be ready to switch to any targets half/near dead, and to prioritize attacking anyone with 10 stacks of medals, which I noted I would mark with an X. . . It was a shaky start, but we won the match, and not only was that player grateful, I continue to see them in 8v8s now.

Under this new system, that will no longer happen at all. Anyone new is going to show up with questions on what to do or how to do it, and not only will I not be able to answer, they won't even be able to ask. THIS is the bigger picture and terrible downside to this "fix" that was pushed on us without even acknowledging our feedback or even explaining why. Now, new people are either going to have to go out of their way to find guides elsewhere before even trying (which isn't a bad idea, but it was fine when it was simply an option), or go in entirely blind, and not be able to ask any questions while there.

My time issues aside, I said (elsewhere) before that if this change was pushed and without any acknowledgement or reason why, then by way of protest, I would not be participating in Season 4, and I fully intend to be a man of my word. I did not ask for this change, did not want it, and it directly impacts my ability to actually try to be a mentor to other players interested in trying it out and giving them guidance or answering questions to help them achieve victory.

This was a big step in the wrong direction for the Feast, and I cannot and will not show my support for it.

Please. If there was any required PvE content that was remotely difficult, the same thing would happen there as well. Like many have said previously, if you're a little thin-skinned you can just hide your chat log when you enter the feast. This just hurt the entire community for no good reason, how is it so hard to understand? I'm not even mentioning the limitations of the new macro system, and how it can be abused as well. When you screw up in PvP just expect to get spammed with "Nice Job!" instead.

I seen more toxicity doing Weeping City than I had in the Feast's last 2 seasons. The system should be used to punish people who get reported a lot. There are legit nice people who PvP (see Lace) who try and help out new comers. This is going to make his days a little easier in one way, but at the same time the quality of the games will be worsened because he couldn't help.

As per the people with over the top anxiety, how do they get around at all in the game? The players who are easily triggered should take it upon themselves and hide all chat channels aside from their safe spaces.

I always tought that Legacy movement was meant to mimic analog controls. Tryed it once and found out that i simply cannot play with it as 10years of WASD+Mouse is just too deep in backbone for me.

Not sure how its in Feast but you clearly can spot "cowards" in FL specially in seal rock when you need to push enemy tome. For somereason peoples are scared about virtual death, of course your goal is to say alive but if you can stall/lure opponents away from objective then that death is not totally wasted.

What i want to say is peoples should try and take a risk sometimes and not playsafe 24/7 because that is just sooooo boring, be smart and spot the opportunities.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSyZxfSJVJI Stuff like this is reason why i love PvP no matter what game and genre it is and its also reason why i dont play arenas as you cant pull stuff like that in there.

    Does happen there as well.

No matter how bad the toxicity can be in PvP, I've seen it far worse in Savage Raids, especially when they are new. The smallest mistakes can cause a wipe and can generate blood boiling levels of rage. Unless you know and have a good relationship with the people you raid with, than there is a very high risk that they will explode at the drop of a pin. It's all fine and dandy to point fingers at those big and mean PvP people, but it's not like this doesn't happen anywhere else in the game. The only difference is that 99% of the players have not, and will likely never, go into a savage level raid, especially using PF or RF, so they're unlikely to even know about it. I guess the moral of the story is supposed to be that it's totally fine so long as no one knows about it?

In Feast it's more along the lines of people who try to run the clock out. You end up with a lot of people who like to play on the back foot and stay close to, or even inside, their spawn. Then they try to kite the enemy up and down the steps over and over to waste time on an early lead instead of actually fighting. I fully acknowledge that there is a time and a place for that tactic. If you're in the last 20 seconds or so, then sure. Run the clock all you want, but if you have 2 minutes left? or 3? or 5? No. That's not just cowardly; it's stupid. Even in the best possible circumstances, playing defensively means taking a sustained beating. The longer it's drawn out, the more you will bleed in resources. It's better to force the enemy to retreat by fighting them off, rather than let them just beat the hell out of you for an entire match and eventually steal your points.

Of course, using honest and direct terms like "coward" and "stupid" is obviously rude and a product of our corrupted North American moral values. It would be mcuh more morally praiseworthy to use terms such as "passive aggressive" or "simple," even if those terms are untruthful. It would be even better to say nothing at all, because honesty is really just silly nonsense. It's a deeply immoral thing and is liable to offend the delicate sensibilities of English speaking players ... even if no one was forcing them to read the chat box in the first place ...

Yup there are times when you need to push and times when you need to retreat.
