The New Chat Restriction in The Feast

There is no way for a healer to tell your support u need mana. Other than spamming "fall back"......... which doesn't indicate anything mana related.

Yesterday I felt so bad. Couldn't tell the ast he should use a sect. And he was healing without stance the entire time. We lost.

Got black mount already from spamming 8 vs 8. And while ya there were lotsa tanks getting 10 stacks and entire parties focusing on decoy tanks...it was....peaceful lol. Most people did with the chat was just used the Hello, Attacking Healer, and Pull back phrases.

I dunno, guess during ranked matches, this is gonna make some people have a stroke when stuff goes wrong but I guess this way, people get the chance to learn in peace.

Not sarcasm, honest question - is there an unranked version of Feast? If so, IMO, new players should be learning there. If not, one really should be implemented lol - it would be a great way for people to learn the mode without getting crushed by veterans.

This chat ban, though? Solves nothing except allowing bad players to pretend like no one minds that they're bad anymore. Is this really something everyone is okay with? I'd hate people being angry with me and having no way to express it, thus continuing my poor performance cycle in ignorance. Why are helpful players being punished with a blanket socialist restriction simply because SE is too cheap to hire people to investigate harassment reports? Why does anyone think this ban was the number one best solution, when it completely absolves one party (bad/lazy players) AND the company of any personal responsibility?

How can you learn if your mistakes are not pointed out to you? The game does nothing to teach even the basics of pvp, so it was left up to the players. Now, even that is gone. The "peace" as you put it is just complacency, since it's impossible to care anymore about a game mode that has been thrown to the dirt.

That MNK using Fists of Fire? You have no way to tell him to use Fists of Earth.
That AST using the wrong sect? You have no way to tell him to switch.
That dude who forgot to put on his PvP gear and still has a bunch of accuracy pieces? You have no way to tell him to switch.
That healer who forgot to put on his Fending accessories? You have no way to tell him to switch.
That tank that is sitting in tank stance BEFORE hitting 4 stacks? You have no way to tell him to take it off.
That tank that still does not have tank stance on AFTER hitting 4 stacks? You have no way to tell him to put it on.
That MNK that wants to tell his team to let him solo a box in the beginning to build GL3? He's got no way to say that.
That healer that needs MP? He can't even tell that to his team.
There's not even a "heal me" command of any sort either.

Instead of just implementing an in-game resource to teach new players how to PvP, they decided to turn it into a hugbox so no one can hurt each others feefee's.

8 v 8 is chaotic, but idk, players seem to be enjoying it and im winning these matches at a high percentage which is even better.

I guarantee you would be winning even more and with less effort/frustration if your team could properly communicate.

I'm not sure how you can say players are enjoying it... I'm sure 90% of them are just playing it to get the mount or glamour gear and are never going to touch it again. I swapped healer because I noticed my team had one with 8000 hp only (jeeze change the ilevel requirement thing while you are at it SE). There was one ninja in particular on our team who I think died until 2 medals, I couldn't give him any advice. I couldn't give anyone on my team advice. Somehow we ended up losing the game when I had 1,200,000 damage healed, and the singular healer on the other team only had 300,000. Everyone on my team needed advice, they needed a leader, and all I could do was watch the train slowly burn.
