Compensations happen when something major happen, not for an expected maintenance.
Best example would be those unfortunate earthquake that happened in Japan where SE postponed house destruction by respect for those people, thats compensations and for a good reason.
So it takes a Natural disaster to happen for compensation. Damn, that's rough.
As it should be, also that's the only time they've given a compensation. We didn't get anything when there was connection issues for a good 2 days on some data center so don't expect anything for a patch.

19 months (ish).
So content is patches every 2.3 (ish) months... This is including the .x5 updates.
Ofc this is just rough estimates.
I guess it depends on what you deem major content patches?
After a quick Google search for around when patch notes came out (so a few days before the patch, give or take):
3.45 came out on Nov 1
3.40 was Sep 26
3.35 was July 18
3.30 was June 6
... I could go on.
Why do people make these? I was just checking to see if there were any Patch is up posts.
