Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

While I still wish for a unique race (like their concept art for Au Ra) I understand why it'd be unlikely to happen (costly, and weird races get chosen less than human derivatives) but, I have to say that the forum and poll desire for Viera has been quite strong and consistent.

That's got to mean something lol.

I think the two images aren't separate ideas of what the viera could be. Instead, I think they were showing adult (playable) versions and the child (npc) versions. I'm in strong support of this race as I feel FFXIV is lacking a tall, elegant, and mature looking race.

The main argument against it that I can see happening is that we have cat people, so it would be overly similar. I would definitely like to see them added personally, though. But if it came down to choosing between having significant improvements to character customization, or adding a new race I would choose the former. We need more control over our faces, very very badly.

I'd rather have Genomes (zidanes "race" from ffix) as a race to play =D, my favorite ff game. (but with the body style from dissidia, not the weird. Big head like in ix lol)

I agree. Viera seems like a popular race many people will want to play. I hope more people show their support in the future as well.
It would be interesting to see another official race poll. However, I believe viera (as depicted in the concept art) should have its own category in this poll.

And at the same time, many don't. Especially as it won't 100% look like a Viera from Ivalice.

Hopefully, it will look like it is depicted in the concept art (elegant and/or cute). I am also fine with normal feet instead of digitigrade feet.
