FFXIV FOR THE NINTENDO SWITCH

This wouldn't be FFXIV "on the go", it'd be FFXIV "where you went", as long as where you went has wifi. I already have that with my PS4 Pro and PS Vita, and I can spend many many hours with the Vita's battery life on remote play compared to the considerably shorter lifespan of the switch's playing it natively. I'd rather see how well the Switch sells before considering it "expanding" and, if it happens, how DQX fares on the system before even looking at prodding SE to port FFXIV to the switch as well.

Thinking about this...will Stormblood work on the PS Vita? Hopefully that thing doesnt hold us back going forward. (I'm assuming it's weaker than the PS4.)

You can install additional memory to the Switch, it was talked about during their presentation. Also, day 1 edition consoles always have little in-built memory, wait a few months to a year and there should be a lot bigger HDDs with the Switch.

I dont think so. Recent reports said that Zelda breath of the wild will take up 40% of the system's memory. Even though FFXIV doesnt take up that much space, you have to wonder.

Pls don't. The Switch isn't very powerful and it will restrict the extent this game can be developed. No thanks! Put other FFs on the Switch instead, like FF10/10-2 HD.

Zelda is about 13.4gigs apparently. FFXIV is 23 gigs installed on my PC.

Just because Zelda is that big doesn't mean you need to install the game. If you have a 3DS your game just saves your game on the system, all the game is on the SD card. There is no need to use the Switch HDD to install games.

EDIT: The expansions and patches might prove to be a problem though. SE and Nintendo however are having a good relationship so hopefully they can sort it out.
