Raubahn Aldynn is an Ala Mhigan Blade Dancer, his skills were honed in the Gladiatorial arena of Ul'dah. You coincidentally always leave off half of what happens when you try to rebuff me. "Curious Gorge did attack everyone." "Raubahn was never called a berserker title. Just called the ball less bull."
Nope. Wrong. Verbatim: "She took the mad bull and cut off his balls."
His class is about raging out. The only class that rages out is warrior. He's a warrior.

"Using winnings amassed during his reign as gladiator champion, Raubahn Aldynn, the "Bull of Ala Mhigo," purchased the Coliseum in Ul'dah, and by doing so earned himself a place amongst the infamous Syndicate. However, unlike other Syndicate members who, blinded by their wealth, fancy themselves the true leaders of the city-state, Raubahn has remained faithful to the sultanate's nobility, openly pledging his allegiance to the sultana. This is why, after a long hiatus, the ever-popular warrior returned to aid the young ruler in readying the city-state for the end of the Sixth Astral Era, and the dark days that would follow.
Aware that he would more than likely receive little cooperation from his fellow Syndicate members—as ever too occupied with their infighting to see that which truly threatens Ul'dah—Raubahn sought the revival of the Immortal Flames, which under his lead would help protect the sultana and her nation, while sating his thirst for revenge on the Garlean Empire."
Motto:" The line between victory and defeat is drawn by the swift and trod by the dead."
Weapons: Tizona─a cursed blade taken from the hands of a former rival after defeating him on the bloodsands.
Even in this, the term Warrior is used in broad terms, not unlike the Title of Warrior of Light. While he did indeed use his rage to fight for our freedom and in vengeance of Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo.(whom he believed slain by traitors atm)
Understand, he has in the past showed cunning and a methodical technique in his swordsmanship not attributed to rage but calm, collected skill and focus.

I sincerely hope a class/ job based on his style will be released in 4.0, as it would be the perfect time time to flesh out more of his character, back story and culture of Ala Mhigo aswell as the martial histories that seem unique to them.
As for Warriors in this game using Greatsword (or swords in general) realize what you asking for. Not only would skill use animations need to be redone for Warrior, so to would revisions to lore as every mention of Great Axe use would need to be retconned simply for the pleasure of your glamour request.
This being inherently the problem when requesting changes to a system... once you acquiesce to the demands other will always ask for more... Here we are going from "simple" glamour unlocks to full scale animation reworks... The system is fine as is.

I see nothing about blade dancer in that profile.Raubahn Aldynn is an Ala Mhigan Blade Dancer, his skills were honed in the Gladiatorial arena of Ul'dah.

My apologies, indeed i can also find no concrete proof of Raubahn's status as a Blade Dancer. Truly it was a mistake made from remembering the 1.0 reference to the Ala Mhigan class of Sword Fighters, as he himself is a renowned Swordsman of Ala Mhigo i simply drew the conclusion, he too wore the mantel.
However, I maintain he is not a Warrior by FFXIV standards. His use of a single one handed sword (previously two) does not attribute him that status. As i stated before, he is a warrior in the broad sense of anyone who is called Warrior of Light without ever having hefted a Great Axe.
Again i reiterate Weapons (and Job specific gear) should stay locked to classes/jobs of their origin (in game). The amount of work needed to change these systems would and should be used better.
Damn... i need that lore book... while i do not role play in game, i have a ingame biography of my character i have worked on for some time. To know the reference material covers Ala Mhigo aswell is much appreciated.
To be fair, though, those weapon types aren't "axe" and "sword", they're "Marauder's Arm", "Gladiator's Arm", and "Dark Knight's Arm". SE has already given staves to both conjurers and thaumaturges, as well as giving wands to them both. (It would be a lot more consistent with the rest of the game if they'd gone with all staves for one of them and all wands for the other, but they didn't.) If they'd wanted to, they could have done the same with axes and swords, giving both gladiators and marauders (and later dark knights) access to either.
I certainly wouldn't expect any such thing to happen now, though. Not after so much lore has built up around each of them. (Though it does leave the door open for future jobs to use either swords or axes without affecting the ones that do already. They'd simply be different swords or different axes in the same way that conjurers and thaumaturges use different staves. They could also introduce new jobs that use a wider array of different types of weapons than the current ones do.)

for one who espouses game lore so much, the idea that he changed class to warrior seems to have completely eluded you.
His profile on the current website says warrior.
He let loose his inner beast.
He's called the "Mad Bull."
I don't know what to tell you, man.
I am the Fist of Retribution
you are confusing the Warrior(job) and warrior(term for fighter)
He does not let anything loose other than his temper.
Bulls have nothing to do with warriors(job)
