Any one else notice what might be a slight issue with the egi-glamours? The summoner changed Garuda-Egi into a Ruby Carbuncle, which is great, we aren't stuck with one color per role. But the attacks are all the same as if they came from Garuda-Egi or Emerald Carbuncle, shouldn't the attacks take on the color of the carbuncle? It's something minor now, and honestly not that big of a deal, but it brings up 2 questions. 1: if we just changed the Egi/Carbuncle why did the system take this long? It seems very simple on the surface, so it's just a little odd. 2:When we get the other Egis, what will those attacks look like? Because if I glamour a Shiva-Egi to Garuda-Egi, I don't wanna see her performing wind attacks. I'm hoping that the reason its taking/took longer than expected, is because they have to make new animations for each egi and move, to seem authentic. I'm willing to wait and see, and I hope I'm right.

They already said the carbuncles are just the first of the new egi's, with more coming in future patches, specifically naming ramuh egi and sephirot egi, so those will likely be next (which makes sense since they already have assets to be used for those, which gives them time to make new ones for say, shiva etc.)

I really hope they do not include the moogles as part of the quest. I'm no crafter and that would really put me off...

The moogles were already shown to be a part of it. It's all the new beast-tribes, them included. Just like the last one was all the beast tribes from ARR, including the crafting Ixali.

I'm not gonna lie - that kinda killed my patch hype all on its own >_>

Don't get me wrong, patch stuff is nice, but...it's nothing I get hyped about, because I know that a month or two after the patch dropped, I'll be sick and tired of running it for tomes, weekly drops or whatever. It's all bittersweet. Hairstyles are just sweet.

I think you misunderstood, my questions entirely. I know there is no Shiva-Egi, I said when we get other Egis, what will happen when we glamour them. Also the reason people brought this up at basically every live letter is because it was promised to us at the time Heavensward launched, and we are just getting this small piece of it, Now.

Yes, agree completely. I noticed that immediately in the video, and to be honest, I find it extremely disappointing given the amount of time they have been telling us they were going to give us this Egi glamour system. Seriously, Ruby Carbuncle using the same lime green animation Garuda uses?

Wrong. There is not Shiva Egi NOW. They have specifically stated the Carbuncles are only the beginning, and there will be more in the future. So, it's entirely possible we could get a Shiva Egi in 3.5 part II or Stormblood. As for your last statement, what? Makes no sense. When you glamour a robe to a bikini there is absolutely no robe animation in sight, only the bikini you have chosen to glamour to, which is the whole point of what we are disappointed about. Why would there still be Garuda's animations when you glamour your Egi to a Ruby Carbuncle? There should be at the very least red animations to go along with it.

People just like to complain, there's already one about the glasses emote above. When in the end it won't make much of a difference. The egi thing, no one will notice and be happy. Or for some they will see it and it can never be unseen. I guess those people will just have to stay with garuda egi or just that one carbuncle.

While the rest are going to be enjoying it, seeing a red carby do its thing. Such a small thing to get upset over, but then again its their time so let them waste it how they want, and justify it to make them feel better. I'm ready to bring back my buddy and fight my way up the wall.

Remember your own words the next time you are disappointed about a gender locked glamour you can't use, or a hairstyle you wanted to sport that clips horribly, or the next time you hate the way your main job's relic looks. Because, in essence, it's the same as me being disappointed about the poor way they implemented this Egi glamour system.

Now, if you truly don't give a care in the world about anything glamour related (even housing or the glamour items you put in your house), then so be it. But, I seriously doubt there's any one here who 100% does not care about at least some aspect of physical appearance in the game.

There's a difference between "caring", and pretending like it's the end of the world.

I "care" about a few glamour-related things in the game as well, but not enough to be "extremely disappointed" over it, and throw up petitions in the forums to get things changed. In the end, it really isn't that serious. I'll just glamour it some other way and move on.

Be excited for the things you are getting, and seeing that steps are at least being taken to get you the illustrious egi glamours you so desperately want, instead of nit-picking that it isn't exactly what you want, how you want it. Its not always going to work out that way.
