Sadly Recycling Gear models with a new coat of paint will always be a thing.. Saves them time I guess ^^;

I don't have a problem with this so long as they're not giving the same designs to the same roles as before. When they give old gear to different roles it opens up glamour options.

I also don't mind if they're doing to save on development time. If there's something they really need to learn to do well, it's learning to re-use old assets in new ways, saving them development time to work on the quality of the gameplay, rather than the quality of howeverything looks.

Kirin bird come to mama!! I'm also a little disappointed in the Demonic Bird recolor, tbh, but it's the only one I need to ride the kirin bird and I am HYPED

SE heard our complaints about potatofells being used as gear models, so they made sure there was a potatofell in nearly every gear shot this time.

Friggin hell SE enough with the stupid potatos! They are terrible for displaying gear models!

Every gear looks better on potato. They're just trying to make the gear look better. ^_^

Is it really so hard to comprehend this? Yes, obviously due to the lore reasons, the new mount will not be named Phoenix. But until we DO know what its actually name is, calling it by the obvious shared inspiration due to its nigh identical appearance should be an obvious shorthand. How does this simple mentality confound people so?

They might call it a Fenghuang, which is the asian equivalent of a Phoenix, similar to how Kirin is like an asian Unicorn.

I think you should look at the gear given too us in VA that gear is completely different.

Also in regards to the gear, at least the Healer gear isnt white, thank god.

I can't say that I like the new hairstyles. They look likes lightly altered version of the one's we have.

Can you really blame the artist and designers? If anyone it's the lore team to complain to, for every raid on 3.x the artist and designers have been told "Yo, design gear for a void like appearance and/or ancient ruins with those black mage dudes lore in mind" every single raid.

Edit: I also disagree HA still being the best looking gear... Creator gear took the cake for me, especially the tank set with the baller mane on the neck making you look like a badass medieval fantasy king

Is that confirmed, not saying it couldn't be named Suzaku, but the origins are different for a Pheonix/Fenghuang and Suzaku, with Fenghuang being similar to Kirin in origin. Although, since we will be getting swimming and swimming mounts in 4.0, and most likely get new mounts from those primals, we could be looking at a new trend in mount names Suzaku in 3.0, Genbu in 4.0 and Byakko and Seiryu in later expansions.

Though honestly since those 4 represent certain things and usually always come as a set, I doubt they would use the name Suzaku. Considering since we went north, Suzaku is south, lol. We'd be going east, Genbu is north, and the name Seiryu is in the game as a term used for Hraesvalgr. All of these things make me think Suzaku is unlikely, but that's just my opinion.

I agree, but what do you want from a casual game. Most players here are casuals and they only "play" in hairstyle, mount and so on things.

HAIRSTYLE is not a content, SE! Do you hear me? Players cant play in a hairstyle or in mount! Players must play in dungeons, challenges and other battles!
