I found this in the "appearance" section of BLU for FFV:

Blue Mages have a vaguely "superhero" look. Most of the costume is blue, with a cape and shoulder pads, a domino mask.

For some reason it feels really close to the Spiderman teaser. Also this:

It is the first utility job in the game, providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. Unlike most other spellcasting jobs, Blue Mages can wield not only the common spellcaster equipment, but also swords and shields, giving them more offense and defense than a regular mage.

This kinda hints at the idea of BLU possibly being a tank.

I'm actually in a different camp, I don't really care what the class is, in the end whatever it is it'll ( hopefully) be fun to play.

If you look at the spider-man villains notice anything? There are a ton of animal based villains. I think it may point to not dancer, not samurai, and yes, not bluemage. I think it maybe beast master. This is just grasping straws, then again, most theories are at this point. Think about it, the job should work into Ala Mhigan lore since this is the Ala Mhigan expansion pack (The Ala Mhigan Griffon Knights anyone?). Ala Mhigo also has blade dancers, which could lend itself to the actual Dancer class I suppose. Now, I'm not the one who came up with this theory, but I thought it would be nice to toss out here. Make of it what you will!

Is that from official content for FFV? I'm leaning towards Blue as well. Spider webbing -> enemy skills, spiders -> comes from mob, and we now have 3 instances of the colors red and blue (duelling monks / theorized dancer, poem, traditional Spiderman colors.)

Though at the same time - Spiderman isn't the only superhero clue used in a shirt, so the superhero description could be tenuous.

Could it be at all possible we may see a merging of classic jobs? Something like a BLU+SAM (FFT Samurai Drawout Skills or FFVII Soldier), BLU+DNC (FFX-2 GunMage)?

As someone who wants BLU, I'd be fine with a Blue Mage wielding a Great Katana, since I don't really care what weapon they use, but I imagine SAM fans would be pretty upset.

I agree with everyone else who came to the conclusion that the Spiderman shirt was a hint that Samurai will be one of the new jobs available when Stormblood is released. Sam Raimi....Samurai. Clever, Yoshida san. Very clever.

My childhood memories of the webslingers animated adventures - way, way back seem to suggest something based on very high agility. I mean, Spidey has no real defensive armor, he avoids damage by using various moves that are quite acrobatic, and some quick and fancy foot work too. Not to mention that he's constantly showing off his agility swinging through the city on a web, or crawling up a building to a vantage point. Sure he was know to use his webs to ensnare enemies, and punches were thrown, but generally speaking Spidey was all about agility and speed. Based on that, I have to think dance, I mean it's almost literally the defining quality of who and what Spider-man is. Additionally, Spidey doesn't use a sword, knife or gun, he uses his quick wits and agility to avoid danger and taunt his enemies. I remember several occasions where he was taunting or teasing an enemy because they could not catch him. This sounds very like a possible tank based on agility - aka Dancer.

Why do people keep repeating this? Of course YoshiP is going to deflect, what else is he gonna say, "Oh dang you guys guessed it that's exactly it, mystery solved."? It doesn't matter what he gets asked, he's not going to confirm or debunk anything until the next fanfest. Everything else is just a more coy version of "Please look forward to it."

Same goes for the "spider webber" comment. It's a joke, not the key to a vast conspiracy.

I am 100% sure we're gonna see Samurai in 4.0. Please look forward to it.

Do you know how hard it is to go throu my day as a kindergarten/primary school teacher with kids naming spiderman or spiders and not always replying to them samurai confirmed or dancer confirmed?
