    Crimson is opposed to Azure.
    In French it's even more obvious as it clearly says Red and Blue.

    The Japanese uses the Kanji "蒼" or aoi for blue which is the same as azure dragoon/蒼の竜騎士. But the word aoi itself can just mean plain blue, aoi is the adjective form of ao which is just plain blue. They translated it to azure in the game to fit better with the setting.

    It could also be both.
    The picture has a red mage riding what I suppose to be the 3.5 mount from getting all birds.

    Also, it is an eastern poem. And we are going east in 4.0.

    So what? Did you think they were going to try and fit the word Samurai into a proverb? Blue is a damn color. Grass is green, doesn't mean Green Mage is being hinted at since 1.0

    And you think there is no meaning in this poem ? Didn't you ever read a single sentence they said/wrote in the past ?
    It could of course be nothing related to blue mage, but it is obviously teasing something.
