Ive been hoping for this for the longest , but of course you get grilled for such a request, the thing is we pay more for alts. And if we use the mogstation we end up buyin non account wide mounts paying even more the least this game could do is let us share gil and inv for our extra money

That's exactly why they won't do it. You'd basically be gaming the system for gil. Make a character, run through the msq only getting the allagan piece quest rewards. Make a few thousand gil, send it to your alt, delete. Wash, rinse, repeat. That's one of the ways RMT bots make all that gil that they sell to people. The in game economy would crash because gil would be effectively worthless since you can just make hundreds of alts and send money back to your main.Ive been hoping for this for the longest , but of course you get grilled for such a request, the thing is we pay more for alts. I dunno, I have 3 tanks over i250, drg at 246, mnk at 250, whm at 250, and i havent bought gear off the market. Its pretty easy to gear multiple jobs.
Didn't say it was impossible, only that doing so is technically hurt by doing everything on one job. Where you can gear each job to i260 off tome gear if using a separate character for each, you'd be stuck around 250 via Creator normal and bits of scripture when on the same character. It's nothing that the casual altaholic would need to worry about, but it is a contradiction nonetheless.

Its not really a contradiction tho, you CAN play every job on one character. Pretty easily, and if you are good enough at them, pretty well too. People just get obsessed over having "the best gear" on everything for some reason. Heck, I'd wager that most people complaining about this don't even raid.Didn't say it was impossible, only that doing so is technically hurt by doing everything on one job. Limitation? Restriction? Being able to be every class on one character is the exact opposite of a limitation.
Having the ability to be every class in the game on one character is a huge selling point for FFXIV, for SE to remove it would be an extreme downgrade and just plain stupid. Sorry but this is an awful idea.

If anyone ever played Phantasy Star Universe, they may recall a system that was basically a drop box in you living quarters that could be accessed by all on the same account. I very much wish that system could be used in this game, as it seems (to me) the simplest way to address the issue. Furthermore, should the previously stated option come to pass (dropbox share) I would like to see unique/ untradeable items bee included. (main character to alt character on same account, not losing unique/ untradeable tag but instead being account locked.)

That is a limited way and it doesn't solve the OP's wish of being able to take screenshots of all of his/her characters together!...They could open up mail between alt characters without needing them to be logged in at the same time. Either change the rule that currently says you can only mail items to characters on your Friend list to instead say you can mail items to either Friends or alts on the same account, or else just have all your alts automatically added to your Friends list.
SE could take that approach to make it easier for them, my suggestion is still vastly superior as it would allow us much more fun than what we currently have, relating to alternate characters of course!...
