4.0 can't come soon enough. it really bugs me when people don't get cross class skills that are vital to their role be it provoke, swiftcast, etc. like i spent good chunks of my time just to get those skills, but they can't be bothered to?I get water mark I voke and...the tank isn't voking the other one we wipe twice. Tank says "I don't have voke..." so we had to play the RNG game and waited another time before we finally got different marks.
Worst part the tank was a drk with Glad at lvl 21 literally just had to lvl 1 more lvl to unlock Provoke honestly drove me insane.

I've snapped at co-tanks who don't have it. I feel really bad about it now, but I was pretty angry in the moment when I said once "We need to swap to beat this. You need Provoke to swap. Congrats, your laziness means we can't win."
Not my proudest moment. Definitely could have been nicer.
Mentored Aurum Vale as a healer;
Yeah, I think you know where I'm going with this...
Got a noob paladin and bard, and a not so noob but still bad ninja. I was too busy watching the tank and the bard to notice the nin so much though. We wiped 7 times, 7 times... Twice in the starting room. :|
Tank starts with sword oath, takes a good few pulls to listen to me and put on shield oath... Other than that he was fine... Put sword oath back on for the last few mobs and boss though, god knows why. He also had two lvl 1 rings at level 50...
That bard though, he's the reason I'm here;
He was wearing lvl 30 caster-white gear. Healer-caster-white gear. But that was the first 'oh for fuck sake' for me because he would pull mobs before the tank, he would pull extra mobs then die because I'm not healing him when the tank can barely handle the mobs he did have. Yeah, I'm that asshole. I'm not putting myself and the other 2 in danger. He would also use limit break every single time it hit 1 bar. We had a melee dps so it was very, very irritating to watch.
After two wipes I told them how to do the boss a second time, I kept telling them throughout to eat the fruit on 3 stacks, not 1 or 2. The bard kept eating all the fruit at 1 stack, leaving none for the rest of the group leading to 4-5 debuff stacks which I can't even heal because you're dead as soon as the aoe goes off anyway.
And when I told him how to do the last boss this was his response, I shit you not;
[1:38]Lokier Ame: The fruit takes ages to respawn, and it needs to feed four people
[1:38]Lokier Ame: I can easily heal anyone with 3 debuffs
[1:38]Tank: Fruit was tricky to find last attempt
[1:38]Twat: Fuck you
[1:38]Lokier Ame: so you don't have to waste fruit >_>
[1:39]Lokier Ame: It was tricky because he kept eating them
He then proceeded to run inside, pull the boss then stand in the yellow pools to die and run back to the locked off entrance. Sufficed to say without his stupid ass around to mess up the group we killed the boss.
The tank used his LB on the boss at 2-bars instead of the dps but w/e, I was out of that group and free.. FREEEEE.

Maybe? I'm fairly certain I didn't have any vulnerability stacks. What made me question it more is the second go, I had a much less geared healer keep me up without a hitch.There are some monsters in Darkhold that can give you a nasty vulnerability debuff. If you're fighting multiple monsters at once, you have the vulnerability and the healer is struggling to heal you and doesn't get a chance to erase the debuff, it might be really difficult. Just watched this happen today in that dungeon, the healer had to choose between chaincasting heals like crazy or using erase and risking the tank dying (which he almost did and he was a well geared PLD). Might this have happened during that pull with the first group?
No. I looked at his gear. It was caster gear. I went as far as to look at his lodestone, he's wearing normal gear now that he's levelled up but it wasn't for aesthetics, that's for sure.
Shame he did, would have been easier to link his gear, lol.
I'd comment on the fact that he's French but I'd prob' get backlash, lmao.

Expert Roulette as BLM.
Now, as BLM, my ilvl is 253. The DRK in this run had a full set of melded 260 gear, except for 1 ring, which was 250. You'd think a DRK with that kind of gear would be capable of keeping aggro from me.
Well, on more than one occasion, I ended up pulling aggro on big pulls by spamming Fire II. And ending with Flare. This DRK never once used Abyssal Drain, and instead chose to waste his MP doing Dark Arts single-target combos, as well as Unleash.
As a DRK, whenever I tank Expert, I prefer to sprint while pulling and spam Abyssal Drain on a pack as much as I can. Does it do less overall damage? Yeah, probably. Does it also ensure that I don't lose aggro even to DPS with an average of 15 ilvls above me, and weapons that are 25 ilvls above mine? Yes.
I got flak from a ninja yesterday while I tanked Gubal HM. (side note, he was the only random in my group). I played PLD, with a WHM and BRD friend.
Wanna know why?
That part where mobs spawn in the patch of fire, you can tank inside that because the Burns debuff only procs once, so after that it's safe. That ninja however kept entering and exiting the patch because apparently he was too scared, yet I'm the one he bitches to >_>
Hell, even the healer (who was a friend of my BRD and wanted the clear) was ok with my tanking, and she was new.

A9S crushed my pride as a healer ._.
*cry*
I used to main AST in raiding back in Midas, but switched to WHM because I don't like the recent AST changes. Got talked into trying to heal A9S yesterday (with strangers) despite not being confident in my familiarity with the class yet (been maining BLM for Creator progression).
We could, for the love of all things alive, not get below 16% on Faust Z x.x I want to blame the DPS for the severe lack of dmg, like, how can you do less than 1k DPS on ilvl 260? But then I'd have to answer how I can't soloheal this mini-boss on ilvl 250 either, so..idk...joke's on me, I guess ._.

With that Lala profile pic your post made me feel sad, too.A9S crushed my pride as a healer ._.
